About Me

It is not accurate to say that The Vengeance's birth came from Fighting Crime's death. Though three ex-members of FC found their way in to The Vengeance's lineup, the two bands are worlds apart. The Vengeance marks a new beginning for each of its five members - their story is not one of transition, but one of re-birth.
In the months after FC's split, Phil, Dustin and Eric found that it had affected them dramatically. The sadness of losing what was essentially the love of their lives for so many years hit them hard, leaving them broken-hearted, lost, and empty. The personal and emotional struggles endured in those months were some of the most brutal any of them had experienced. They doubted their choices, they doubted their chances, and they doubted themselves.
In autumn of 2005, still reeling from their loss, they began loosely exchanging ideas and flirting with the idea of starting a new project. They were uncertain at this point if they were doing it out of habit or because they still had the fight in them, but they all still shared an insatiable hunger for playing music. By late september they had found a second guitarist in Chris, and they made their way to their jam space with a few simple pop songs they had written. When the lights went down and the hum of their amps filled the air, they played harder than each of them had ever played before, taking their months of anguish out on their instruments. What came out that night astounded them... those simple pop songs sounded much different when combined with the raw intensity of a band that fragile and passionate, and it became clear that they would not be able to say what they had to say or scream what they had to scream in any kind of conventional pop format. This is where the excitement really began, and The Vengeance was thus born.
In The Vengeance you will discover a new approach to heavy music. They effortlessly blend elements of hardcore with melodic hooks, using their experimental brand of pop and hardcore to tell a story - their story. They find the beauty in this world through the trials they face in day to day life, and their music paints a portrait of this tragedy and triumph, of the struggles faced and accomplishments made. Wearing their hearts on their sleeves, they tell honest and real stories of the living and the breathing - of the "every-man". In their music you will find heart and passion and dedication; all the things that kept these five ordinary guys from driving off the back roads music has taken them down.
With the recent addition of Brian on bass, the Vengeance is now ready. They are focused and determined. They are committed to the music they make. They are true to themselves and are proud of all they stand for.
The Vengeance is here, and they are here to stay.
