About Me

| View Show | Create Your OwnLet's see...I'm pretty sure this will be boring as hell , but let's give this a shot. I'm soon to be 35 (omg, where did the time go?) I've got three beautiful girls that keep me busy all day long. Taylor is 12 and is embracing her sense of 6th grade fashion. I've seen her walk out the door in ripped jeans and Joe Monkey shirts and today with blue streaked hair and a dress she wears to church :)) Haley is our comic relief and the one we lovingly call "Blurt"...she is keenly observant and unobservant at the same time and it can make for some interesting comments. Case in point... we are having Father Phan over for dinner and they are asking him questions about Jesus. Haley decides to ask "If nuns are married to the church, does that mean priests are married to Mary?" Yeah, that's my gal :) Then there is our little angel Casey. She is special needs with a very rare chromosome deletion. I could go on and on about it, but that is not WHO she is, but what she has. I decided a long time ago to stop looking at her as a "22q13.3 chromosome deletion child" and just start seeing her as my child. My beautiful, leaves food on my shirt, eats dirt from my household plants, screams when she's happy-sad-excited-bored-or any type mood, loves to eat ESPECIALLY from someone elses plate, looks adorable with her short curly hair, Shrek-lovin', wiggles her butt whenever I change her diaper, "cuddlelumps" baby girl who loves to sit in my lap and just be held at anytime of the day. She's my reason for extreme highs and extreme lows and I wouldn't have it any other way. Last but not least...I'm married to my best friend. He makes me laugh more then any other person ( well besides myself...I crack myself up...I know, ODD!!) We've been married for 15 years and sometimes I can't help but smile because God shared him with me. I'm his favorite cow-groupie :)) Ok...this was supposed to be about me right....Hmm...well I guess all the important things are mentioned above, right?

My Interests

My interests vary from month to month. I tend to get bored with projects easily and leave one behind and pursue another ( I will eventually come back when the desire is there) I love to garden...seeing something I either grew from seed or bought when it was in a small pot from the nursery grow into a bigger and more beautiful plant is soul-satisfying. I love to read. I actually see a "movie" in my head when I'm reading a book. I've had this ever since I was a little girl. I remember my dad asking me why I was reading "Island of the Blue Dolphins" instead of going outside to play. I told him that I needed to "finish the movie in my head" because the characters were waiting for me. I know, I was an odd child! I love crafts and my current favorite is knitting. I have made a million scarves and i'm sure everyone is getting sick of them, but I've been trying to learn different stiches and right now i'm half way through a baby blanket for our friends The Darts and their baby Halle Jo. My grandmother has promised to help me learn to crochet...but that is another craft for another day. I also love to chat. I don't chat on a daily basis, maybe once a month or so, but I did for a few years there until I got sick of all the crap people can put up on the screen ( gee isn't that what happens in myspace too?) I have some friends that i've been chatting with for over 4 years and Queenie and Allen are two of my favorite people...they stood by me during the bleakest part of my life and for that they will always have a special place in my heart. Thrift store shopping!! OMG...that is something I just love...call me crazy but I love looking through other peoples junk... I have my favorite stores that I "hit up" once or twice a month and I never break my bank because of it! I am Catholic and proud. I have been learning more and more about my faith these past few years ( thanks to the above mentioned bleak period) and I've come to rely more and more on my love for Christ to help me through the thick and thin parts of my everyday life. I won't get on a soapbox here, but to anyone that knows me...they know I'm trying my hardest to BE a christian, not just ACT like one, there is a world of difference between the two. Trust me, I know :) I have many other boring interests, but I think I've covered my fave ones:) CHOOSE LIFE!

I'd like to meet:

The Hole - video powered by Metacafe

Music:

Music, I love music! I listen to all kinds of music...but my all time favorite type is acoustic guitar. There is nothing more relaxing than listening to an acoustic guitar and I'm very lucky my husband loves to learn new tunes for me all the time. He's got a nice set of pipes too!

Movies:

I love off the wall foreign films. Troy and I loved the movie "The Closet" There is a scene where the main character is sitting down at his breakfast table waiting for his toast while listening to the news...and one horrific thing after another is being reported (hundreds dying in airplane crashes, train wrecks...) and then at the end of the scene his toast pops up and flies out the window as if to say "I CAN"T TAKE IT ANYMORE" and commits toastacide. :)) That is classic!!I can't leave without mentioning Xanadu and Tootsie! All time fave movies!

Television:

Hmm...lots of crap I try to avoid here but i do love 7th Heaven and I'm saddened beyond belief that they are cancelling the show. I will miss my monday night fix of the Camdens :(
