I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

Who I am today most likely won't be who I am a month from now because I'll hopefully have had the pleasure of experiencing more of this thing called life. I get along well with most people but despise dishonesty, materialism, violence and animal cruelty. I'm pretty laid back in most circumstances but do have an Italian/Portuguese temper. I love my pets, they are my children. Animal welfare and environmental protection are matters that are close to my heart. I've worked hard to get to where I am in life and can honestly say I'm happy with who I've become physically, emotionally and spiritually. That's not to say that I don't have my own insecurities or that I'm complacent with my life but I try not to take things too seriously because that's no fun. I believe in continually learning whether it's in regards to the people around me, making new friends or doing something I've never done before. If I have a question, I ask it. If I say something stupid, I laugh at myself. If I'm curious about something, I'll pursue it. If I love you, you'll know it. If I don't like you, you'll know that too. I've been learning to live in the moment, plan for the future and reflect on the past because it's my teacher. I enjoy experiencing different cultures, meeting new people and try to travel at least once a year to do so.I am in love with the written word and the pictures they paint. Writing isn’t something I choose to do but something I can’t ignore. Characters take shape and wreak havoc in my imagination until I’m forced to allow them more solid form on paper. Never an easy task, I’ve created and killed many stories due to the lack of life they render once given the opportunity to truly exist. But I continue to write, revise and write again because writing is like breathing; a necessity.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

I'm happy to welcome people from all walks of life that have something in common or share similar interests. However, I am not a friends collector and will most likely not accept random friend requests or "subscribe to my blog" invitations from people I don't know or don't recognize if the request isn't accompanied by an introductory e-mail.
