Queeniefied

Well, let's see. Music has always been a huge part of my life. It has impacted me in a way that is indescribable. Inspiration has surrounded me in many ways and forms...people, places and situations...ah, life! I would have to say my initial inspriation was my band teacher in highschool who had more faith in my musical ability than I did myself. He was an amazing teacher and I still carry his belief in me with me everyday. It was only 4 years ago that I taught myself to play the guitar, a feat I had always wanted to accomplish...and many moons later, I am still learning. I write occaisionally, but find it hard to do without overwhelming inspiration...fortunately, or unfortunately this does not happen as often as I would like it to. I have drawn inspiration from other players that I have have been blessed to meet and by musical talents that I have not met but would love to someday. New music is intoxicating to me and I have been inspired by many artists out there. I've always been a "B" side kinda gal with my taste in music being what I would classify as "eclectic", enjoying hits of others, but drawn to those that are unique and pioneering. Although the time I get to spend alone with my guitar is quite limited these days, I find comfort in her when I need her...and she is always there waiting for me. I play for myself and don't want to be a star...I just want to get it out man!
