Numb, but not that comfortable about it

About Me

I'm funky fresh. That's for sure. And I'm hella smart too. And modest. I care about my family and friends like no one's business, and it usually is just that. I care about my job, but only because it keeps a roof over my head, food in my belly, and in wonderful entertainment. If I didn't have to work, I wouldn't. Some people would, not me man. I would be just fine laying around watching tv or playing video games, and playing with animals all day, every day. Yep, I'm that lazy.
I like to drink, I'm probably on the verge of being an alki, but that's my problem, not yours. I like to go out a lot. Not because I don't like my home, I just don't like it as much as the bar. I like to spend money. I'm really good at it, in a bad way. I buy things I can live without, all the freaking time. I think I have a problem, really. Well, I guess I'll figure it all out when I can't ever retire because I'll have nothing saved to pay my expenses. It's never too late, right?
I have a super fabulous husband. In fact, I've never been so happy in my life as I am right now. I've got a great job, the perfect hubby, a dog, two cats, and some freaking fantastic friends. The only thing I would change is my living sitch. I'd much rather live in a house, but that's hard to do when you spend like I do. The first step is admitting I have a problem. Check. But, if I only want to change one thing in my life, that's doing pretty fab if I do say so myself.
It's amazing I have any friends at all, because I hate meeting new people. I abhor small talk with strangers. It's meaningless. I found out not too long ago that I come off as a big ol' bitch when people meet me. That's funny to me, because I'm about the most laid back, nice person you could ever be so lucky to have in your life. I just don't like to talk to strangers, I was raised right!
Oh, one more thing you should know about me. I never finish what I sta This layout was handmade with love by the folks at My space or yours? Go get one!

My Interests

I am interested to see what technological advances haven't even been dreamed yet. We've come a long way baby. I imagine soon we will be micro-chipped to pay for things as we walk out of a store, and music players will somehow be implanted in our ear, and we'll be able to change the tune with our thoughts. If not, I'm happy with CD's.

I'm interested to see if my future holds children. I'm pretty sure God has never fertilized one of my eggs for a reason. I'll keep it at that, unless He sees a need to change it.

I am interested in finding the one religion, and the one political party that I agree with all facets of. Since that will never happen, I'm content with being my non-religious, non-political self.

I am interested to see the world collapse in on itself if it continues to mess with things not meant to be messed with. ie; cloning animals and recreating dinosaurs.

I'm interested in people that are interested in me. I'm a Leo after all.

I'd like to meet:

I really have no urge to meet anyone that is not currently in my life. I don't particularly like people, and I'm sure I'd be disappointed if I met someone famous and they turned out to be a douche. However, I would like to meet the teller at the lottery place in Roseville.

Music:

Counting Crows, anytime, anywhere. Depending on my mood or activity, the following make up a collection of my fav artists: Better than Ezra, Death Cab for Cutie, Pink Floyd, The Eagles, Led Zepplin, Finger Eleven, Gwen Stefani, Daughtry, Sawyer Brown, Fergie, Imani Coppola, Ani DiFranco, Pearl Jam, Maroon 5, Matchbox Twenty, Eminem, Alabama, The Monkees, Dispatch, Five for Fighting, Garbage, POD, Tool, White Zombie, (Rob Zombie, not so much), The Doors, The White Stripes, Cyndi Lauper, The Yellow Jackets, Blondie, John Mayer, Peter Gabriel, David Gray, Goo Goo Dolls. I love one hit wonders.

Movies:

Shawshank Redemption, Grandma's Boy, Armageddon, Real Genius, The Rock, Con Air, Bad Boys, American History X, An Evening with Kevin Smith, Clerks, Clerks II, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, 40 Year Old Virgin, Little Miss Sunshine, Anchorman, Stranger than Fiction, Pump Up the Volume, Die Hard 1-4 (3 being my fav), Cruel Intentions, Indiana Jones 1-3 (2 being my least fav), Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Knocked Up, Goonies, Fox and the Hound. I love Lifetime movies.

Television:

Boston Legal, Law and Order SVU, American Idol, Monk, Psych, The Riches, Heroes, Nip/Tuck, Rob and Big, Chuck, South Park. I love the Disney Channel.

Books:

She's Come Undone, I Know this much is True, Gerald's Game, Delores Claiborne, Desperation, Lightning, Good in Bed, any Alex Cross novel. I love fiction.

Heroes:

I'm posting this here because while I don't know him well, humorous and creative people like CHAUNCELLOR are my heroes. They lift me up and make me believe there is more to life than work and day to day stuff. Even more to it than sex and beer....well, maybe.
On that note...shouts to my most (because really, you all are) humorous and creative friends, Mike W., Ross N., and Andy A.
Snipers of Love (Insert copyright symbol here) ~Chauncellor
If ya knew the way i felt about you
we shared a candlelight dinner at noon in the park
I loved the way the breeze blew the peas off your fork.
Then we would pork. Then We would pork
Woo Woo, like chops on the grill,
I sizzle only for you
(chorus)
Cuz You lit a fire
Of pure desire
I got shot in the face by a sniper
Now I wear a diaper.
On the streets of St. Paul
On the streets of St. Paul
We used to walk around the lake in April
Now all i can do is slap my face against the Grill
Of your car, ooh Baby... Your car......
In Morse Code, to tell you you're pretty.
My Jaw is wired shut. Yeah yeah.
(Bridge)
Baby noone loved me the way that you did,
Then you hired the sniper to shoot me in the face.
What was going on in that place
When i walked in with you and the Landlord
Of our beautiful apartment say it ain't so, say it ain't so.
I forgive you Baby
I know you hired that man
to shoot me in the brains
I say this in dead pan.
All you need to do is Light another fire
Light another fire
Just not under the porch
Cuz i'm a quadrapalegic and i won't get away
(Chorus)
(whispers) One more fire...

Bigger than Guns, Bigger than Cigarettes
