About Me

It's never as simple as we'd like it. Really much of anything. Be it life, love, or in this case, rambling and prattling on about Myself. I'm artistic, passionate, driven...but at the same time overly logical and philosophical, hesitant in many ways, and although I'm inspired by a great many things in My life, I've yet to really grab onto one of them and roll with it, so to speak. I love good conversation, decent cinema, and a blessed absence of drama in My life, or the involvement of those around Me.I aspire to become a tattoo artist. I aspire to become a writer. I aspire to become a scholar. I aspire to become a painter. I aspire to become an automotive customization technician. I aspire to become an inventor. I aspire to become an engineer. I aspire to become (someday) a father...a husband...a mentor. I aspire to become independently wealthy, but never forget where I've come from. I aspire to become wise enough to understand why we will never truly be "wise enough". I aspire. I aspire to become. .... ..I edited my profile at Freeweblayouts.net , check out these Myspace Layouts!

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

God. Granted, there's a more expansive list, but this is the big one. Even if there were no questions, no words...it'd be the end-all be-all moment of living. I suppose that's not quite the interesting list everyone was looking for. I'd like to meet the pope...to explain that the church is killing itself, and in turn killing faith. Oh yeah...and I'd like to meet Eliza Dushku...wearing only fruit rollups. (her, not Me.) If she's busy that day, Angelina Jolie will do nicely. Really, I'd rather just be able to visit my family more often, or the friends that are like family to me.Need a cheaper, more interesting list? Denis Leary. Christopher Walken. Sean Patrick Flannery. Sean Connery. Ewan McGregor. Jack Kerouac. Broken Lizard. Nicholas Cage. John Travolta. Stephen King. Hugh Jackman. Bill Clinton (for the jazz and cigars, not the history...although a few intern jokes would be good). Anthony Hopkins. Hunter S. Thompson. Kevin Smith. Jennifer Connelly. Jay Mohr. Janeane Garofalo. Milla Jovovich. Asia Argento. Jack Nicholson. Eddie Murphy. Leonardo DiCaprio (put away the Titanic crap, he's gotta have hell'a skills and personality to pull off Basketball Diaries and The Beach). Ali Larter. Neil Gaiman. Sigourney Weaver. Matthew Broderick.

Wishing I were still a dreamer

The news has been on all day...speculating and number crunching...sorting of blue and red beans into piles and wondering which side of the scale will tip.  I'll admit, I've never been the one to ...

I've been sitting on this news for a while...waiting for the right time...telling the right people...not wanting to keep friends in the dark, but not wanting to speak before I had something definite t...

This Moment Is Your Life...

The wind whispers past, carrying the crisp feel of winter&that feeling you only have once a year, when you take a deep breath and actually feel your sinuses freezing a bit&but it carries on it dreams ...

Kaleidoscape...

I've started this entry a few times...each time it seemed to fall short, stop on its own...the words just wouldn't come, or didn't feel right.  Some things I didn't want to say here until they we...

Metaphorical Musings

The first drops fall...like pinpoints settling gently on his face...not enough to bring pain, but certainly startling.  He opens his eyes, looking up at the night sky...or what passes as the nigh...

Ascension

"Long and hard is the path that up from darkness shall lead to light." I've been reflecting much as of late on how many miles I've come in this figurative journey...directions taken in life, deviation...

John Travolta may not be Mohammed...

...but he may be onto something. By no means do I advocate a holy war with the idea of putting the father of Islam in a suit to add a few pounds and throwing him in a dress...that would be significant...

Skin and Blood...Life and Waiting...

Some days there seems to be a far too delicate balance to the life we lead...well...the life that few of us lead.  I found myself pondering this earlier...going through the motions of slowing dow...

Renewed Vision...

Today has been a day for rediscovering joys of youth...of noticing changes in perspective...perhaps a bit of humility...more than a bit of recreation...and appreciation of family, in whatever forms it...
