I also write street/erotic short stories when I have free time. When I say "street", I mean the text is formatted in ghetto/slang terminology, so it's not written proper like most urban books; although I am VERY diverse and can write ANY genre.
When it comes to my "street" stories, I choose to write in this style because the language is raw and uncut. There's no need to sugar coat anything because when you're living in the ghetto/hood, you're not given the "edited" version on what really goes on because in the real world... NOTHING is sugar coated. Everything is handed to you UNCUT and DRY. MEANING: You're not given particular pieces that society only wants you to see and it's not watered down like most books.
All of my short stories are based on real life experiences that goes on throughout the black community. Domestic violence, AIDS awareness, dangers of the internet, jumping into cars with strangers(for the chicks who are shallow and only see big rims and hear loud music), drug dealing, drinking and driving, drug addiction, child neglecting, burglary, and promiscuity. (just to name a few)

Also, I am working on a play right now called CHOICES; which will focus on teen pregnancy, spousal abuse, and gang-related violence. This idea was given to me by Mrs. Catherine Weaver, founder of Y.E.I.- Young Enterprisers Incorporated; in which I am a member of. She believed in me enough to challenge my writing abilities and go further than just books.
I'm also recruiting for this play so if you think you have what it takes and you're in the Pinellas County area, get at me. We need males and females from ages 15-25 that are able to travel once this play is put into production.
