Beginning on the West Coast,where it was normal to seeToo Short sitting at a red light in his candy red drop-top,or to stop and chit-chat with up and coming rappers like Seagram miller,the founders of BayBizness.Com were exploring the streets of Oakland, California at a fast pace. there was much happening to enhance the hip-hop essence inside of any youngster let loose. At the time, California was rich with concerts that displayed hometown acts like Tupac Shakur and digital underground,toni,tony,tone,Ray luv ,A.M.W., and Richie Rich to name a few. We housed Askari X shortly, and many rappers practiced around us , due to many events held at the Uhuru House on MacArthur Blvd. Looking back, the past appears as though it was all a foreshadow of what would help influence the mind and create the longevity that is apparently within us today. Oakland had its own style of hard-hitten funk driven beats , along with a hustler independent mentality.This was during the time when New York was dominating the airwaves. Music was rich in Richmond. Berkeley was where the large sector of the college crowd could be found, who were listening and relating to all genres of music and styles which eventually mixed its culture with the hood as far as spoken word, open mics, skateboarding, psychedelic drugs, and lyricism . When we relocated to Florida , we met entreprenuers that helped encourage us to further pursue our dreams like Winky Wright, Jeff Lacy, Blood Raw , and Troublesum, to name a few. Connections with Dead Prez helped stir up our networking further into the east coast. We were introduced to the hungry and talented underground scene similar to the scene in Cali. The bay bizness community is a representation of hip hop from back in the day to the present . young engineers , writers , and artist represent us ranging from the steets to college graduates . Fresh raw talents are coming at you as we continue to grow in many directions . Continue to ride with us as we allow you the freedom to reach out to the southern rap scene while representing Florida. Keep your eyes open while we stretch out to our extended family across the nation and world. We will provide a platform for the unseen and unheard representing that urban life style.
