New KUBiX Release News
The first non-internet musical release in 2 years is coming your way thanks to BLC Productions . It is an exclusive remix of Do it Again. We are exreamly excited, and am looking forward to seeing the final CD when it is released in December. For up to date details please visit the BLC Website . Also, don't forget to check out our new website as well @ kubixband.com.
The Words
a simple explanation of KUBiX is that it is an old school industrial band comprised of three distinct individuals…
…starting with a foundation of harsh noise, layering amazing guitar, and dominated by driving lyrics
though such restrictive descriptions are apt to hinder the listener rather than elaborate some type of classification…
…KUBiX is a creative outlet designed to explore convoluted social topics and peculiar glitches in the human psyche
it rapidly revolutionizes as innovative influences pique the curiosity of the members…
…creating an evolving cathartic melding of dissimilar musical genres and eclectic interests
History
KUBiX was founded in late 2000 as a noise art project complimentary to Trevor’s visual arts…
….due to the controversial nature of his art he did not pursue live shows
instead by utilizing MP3.com he was able to share this original sound with his friends…
…also during this formative period he played keyboards for a Denver based EBM act
it was through this exposure to live performance that he discovered the desire to develop KUBiX into more than just a noise art project…
…next along came Susan and in early 2003 KUBiX released the first wave of songs that represented its new incarnation
with a background rooted in old school punk and an emerging fondness for electronic based music she brought in a massive dose of fresh ideas…
…beyond the melodic update she brought a penchant for dramatic insanity during live performances
2003 found KUBiX on its first compilation…
…by the end of summer KUBiX was signed to Statue Records based out of Los Angeles, California
Construct was released on Statue Records late spring 2004…
…however due to disappointments with distribution KUBiX decided not to resign with Statue Records
…after taking some time to regroup as well as to bring in a new member Mike
KUBiX found themselves back in the studio recording new tracks…
…incessantly altering with a new infusion of metal inspired guitar riffs
and a divergence in sound that has led to the deconstruction of many of our older pieces…
…as we prepare to release a second album
