Cholera first started out in 2003 at Glashen P.S. with Raph and another guitarist Eric. Raph and Eric both agreed that Ian was the perfect drummer for their band, so Cholera was born. After several weeks, Raph and Eric had grown apart musically, so Eric left the band shortly before their first gig at a talent show. Even without Eric, Raph and Ian continued on and played the show and even went on to record a demo CD. Several months later, when Raph went to Cantebury and Ian went ot Glebe, practices grew farther apart. Then, on one unforgettable day, Ian was in his english class when he overheard another guy in his class talking about his newly recieved bass. This guy’s name is Matthew. Upon hearing this, Ian called up Raph and told him the good news. When Matthew was fist asked to join by Ian, he was thrilled. The trio played a couple of shows together when they lost one of their own. Ian decided to part ways with the band. Currently, Raph and Matthew are busy recording their debut album "Enslaved - Humanity" with Raph filling in on drums.
