Hardcore pride, metal roots, breakdowns and 2 stepping beats. Thats what AUGMENT is about. Its friends, family, stayin together, respect, and most of all, commitment to music. We arent the best musicians, and we arent trying to say we are. We do what we want to do, make the music we want to make, and dont give a shit about what other people think. If you like our music awesome. If you dont, we are sorry, but we appreciate you giving us a listen anyway.
Augment formed about 6 years ago, When Chris and Rich were talking about starting a band in about 9th grade. Then they asked Jon to join in and play drums. It started as just a jam band, no one knew how to play there instruments very good. Rich played bass, Chris played Guitar, and Jon played drums. It turned into a 3 piece crappy metal band. Playing covors like Master of Puppets by Metallica and Right Now by Korn. Then about a year or 2 after the band was formed, Andrew, who played guitar was interested and joined. He was just like them...liked metal music and was learning to play his instrument (we all still are). But he added a new dimension to it...he added solos, came up with fast paced metal riffs, and made everything more fun and stupid at the same time. After the release of there first demo, they decided they needed a lead singer. Andrew, the new guitarist, sang for about a year. Then Chris's brother Frankie joined. He already graduated high school, and played bass in a couple other bands before. Rich became the lead singer and Frankie took over on bass. Low and behold... the current AUGMENT line-up was formed. Because we only added 2 members, the bands sound kept its metal roots. But, because of the switch arounds and change in music the members listened too, it slowly turned into a hardocre/metal band. NEW JERSEY HARDCORE basicly, but with there own sound. Currently, AUGMENT is still together after all these years, and is going to be around for a long while still. But...the only way they can get bigger and get there music out there...is by help from YOU. THE FANS! listen to our music, tell us what you think, talk to us...we ALWAYS respond back.
