Their are just so many great players I listen to them all. Just play your ass off. Never studied formerly. Growing up we never really had money so school was out. Jaco Pastorious used the phrase formally self taught. I taught myself to read music, bass and treble clef and studied books on theory and scales and harmony. I still Practice every day and learn everything I can. Now I teach to help support the income. Play 100- 150 dates a year for the last 15 years. No matter how bad the music business sucks I still find peace in Playing.Order our cd at thhttp://www. abookyouwant. Thats all for now.
Sounds Like: 3 piece sounds full and very musical not just a power trio. Melody Rhythm and Harmony. pretty simple. Sometimes you can hear many different influences in one song. And that varies from night to night. Every day is another chance to stretch the boundries.I love Led Zepplin 1&2, Allman Brothers live at the Filmore, Alvin Lee Woodstock Goin Home, Hendrix Woodstock, Deep Purple made in Japan, Ritchie Blackmore's live Rainbow, Yngwie J Malmsteen's Rising Force, Yngwie live Spanish Castle Magic, lou Reed Rock & Roll Animal, Great Melodic Guitar from steve Hunter and dick Wagner, Steve Vai Tender surrender. Wes Montgomery Smokin at the half note. Anything live. And of course great production.
