About Me

David Watson is a professional drummer currently residing in Cranston, Rhode Island. In addition to a busy teaching and recording schedule Dave regularly performs in the New England area as a freelance drummer for various local artists including; The Blue Miracles, Blues DeVille, Gary Guitar and the Grinders, Professor Harp, Mike Roy and The Double D's, The Harwoods, AfterLA and The Greg Allen Group (NYC). Dave can also be found occasionally performing with 'SPYZ' and 'Step-n-Out' in the Colorado, Los Angeles and Atlanta areas. Past Groups include: Whitehouse, Toyz, Phoenix, Pale Black, Crwydryn, Masters of Rhythm, Ambush, Rory and the Blues Hounds, The Voo Doo Kings, Soul Ambition and The Blue Miracles. Influences: My family and friends, Buddy, Ringo, Vinnie, Gadd, Danny Seraphine, Mike Shrieve, Don Brewer, Joey Kramer, Tommy Aldrige, Bill Bruford, Frank Briggs, Tony Williams, Jeff Porcaro, Al Jackson, Steve Smith, Marty Richards, Craig Krampf, Liberty DeVitto, Ed Ebline, Derek Blevins, and Joe Pett. To be fair, the above list is just a small portion of the drummers that have had an influence on me. Every song and drummer I have ever really paid attention to has influenced me to some degree.
Sounds Like: Old school blues based rock and country are my specialty. My style has been described as confident and solid.
