It takes a lot of beer to make a good wine

About Me

If you think of Napa wineries as slick and commercial, you're in for a treat when you visit Noah at Hopper Creek Winery. Our modest, boutique winery lies on a small plateau rising from seven acres of prime Merlot grapes off a dusty farm road in the Yountville Appellation. Just south of the town center of Yountville, in the heart of the Napa Valley, Noah Taylor and Alan Haywood make Noah Wines. Here wine is king, not fancy tasting rooms and merchandise for sale. The partners make Estate Merlots, Zinfandels and rare Cabernet Sauvignon all vineyard-designated from select vineyards in Napa Valley and elsewhere around northern California. The Noah Estate bottled Merlot from the adjoining vineyards was the first wine released by the two noted wine makers. The beautiful vineyard, which lies alongside Hopper Creek, was planted in a Merlot clone from St. Emillion in Bordeaux, a very rare clone to find in the Napa Valley. Come experience how Napa Valley used to be 20 years ago...with a better stereo. Cheers.
Here is what Narci David said about a few of our wines...Noah Vineyards ON AIR DATE: 08/13/2005 2000 Merlot, Napa Valley Bright, lush aromas of ripe berries with a fine toasty oak carries directly onto the palate. A fine balance of fruit, acid, tannins. This is a delicious wine right now if you have a rack of lamb or a fine steak. Otherwise, give it a few years to age. Noah Vineyards ON AIR DATE: 08/13/2005 2002 Zinfandel/Los Chamizal Vineyard/Sonoma Distinct raspberry aromas follow right onto the palate. But the fruit forward raspberry flavor does not overwhelm the palate. The alcohol, at 13.4% is a nice contrast to so many 15% and higher zins. Here's a wine that really works with food. A nice soft tannic backnote is very mellow.
Some of our vintages are almost completly sold out! If you have some favorites, order now before its too late........................................................ ................... (707)944-0675.
