dance, poetry, spoken word, reading, visual art and photography, basically anything involving most serious art forms
reconnect with BSA and UARTS alumni, other dance artists, spoken word artists, poets, lovers of poetry or just cool people interested in some of the same things i'm into
neo soul, gospel and country (yes country so shut up!)
I like to watch a lot of documentaries mostly on anything concerning African history or African-American history. But as far as the movies theaters go, the last few movies I saw I loved and could not stop laughing throughout either one of them. Dave Chappelle's Block Party was some cool shit and Something New w/ Golden Brooks from Girlfriends and the chick from Love and Basketball was madd funny too.
Girlfriends, Sex And The City repeats and certain "reality" tv shows
poetry by Laini Mataka (originally from Bmore), poetry by Nikki Giovanni, The Autobiography of Malcom X, nigger by Randall Kennedy, any poetry by serious and talented poets. I tend to buy a lot of poetry books. And I just got finished reading this mystery novel by Solomon Jones (who is also a poet and from Philadelphia) It was such a good novel called The Bridge (and everything was based in Philly)Assata (check it out if you haven't)
