Phish returns to the stage for three concerts at the Hampton Coliseum in Hampton, Virginia on March

About Me

I'm 35 years old and a native of New Orleans, LA. I really dislike Matthew McConaughey. I spent most of the 90's in Baton Rouge working in the restaurant business, partying, and going to LSU part time. Right now I'm a bartender on hiatus due to some health problems but I hope to be back up and about ASAP. For the time being though, instead of work I'm headed back to school at the University of New Orleans to learn the rest of the stuff I should have 10 years ago so I don't have to sling drinks for the rest of my life. I live along with Lloyd the pug and Jim and Rex the cats in an uptown N.O. neighborhood that was flooded thanks to Katrina the hurricane. Katrina was the most life-changing experience I've ever been through but I'm confident NOLA will come back from this thing stronger than ever. I love this city and hope to live here for a long time.... Music is pretty much the most important thing in my life..there are always some tunes on in the background at my place and in my opinion there's nothing that matches the energy at a really good live show. I've traveled all over the country to see bands..Phish, Widespread Panic, The Grateful Dead, The Allman Brothers Band, etc. If Phish ever gets their shit together and heads back out on the road I'll be right there with them to catch a few shows. In addition to music I'm also a pretty big sports fan. The Saints are my favorites but I'm also into anything LSU plays and the N.O. Hornets. I pretty much try to make it to as many live events as I can....On a sadder note, I have to mention that my mother died of cancer in 2004. I miss my Mom a lot. She was an incredible person and all I can say is I really wish she was still around and part of my life. I have a very small family, my Dad and I are both only children so consequently we're very close. I can't say enough about my Dad, I don't know what I'd do without him. He gets me through all of my health problems, does everything a Dad should do, and also manages to be a good friend while he's at it. He's just a great guy overall....Lastly, my real name is John, John Wesley Wilds II(just email me if you'd like my social security number). But my Dad was/is a John and my grandfather was a John and there were too many Johns in the family so I became Wesley. Now everyone calls me Wes or Wesley except for bill collectors and pretty much anyone I wouldn't want to talk to so if you call me asking for John I'm going to tell you he doesn't live here anymore. So that's me....I've had a few rough times over the years but I've had a lot of fun too and all of the hard stuff has just made me stronger. I've got a lot of living left to do and I'm looking forward to the future. Who Dat.
