Formally known as "Kid Gun-Em, Gun-Em is taking over the Cappin capital, Cleveland, Ohio. Kid Gun-Em a 20 year old native of Cleveland started off like any other artist rapping in his basement and at the school lunch table in high school. After battling at the lunch table for a two years Kid Gun-Em and three other students from different school link together and started a group by the name of JSQUAD. JSquad consisting of Kid Gun-Em(Meech Gipson) as rapper, producer, dancer, Yk (John Hardaway) rapper and producer, Mr Model(Jason Hardaway) a rapper, and Rhamne as a singer. JSquad hit the streets of Cleveland hard for over 2 years with performances at local venues, and selling over 2,000 copies of there last mixtape. In 2006 Kid Gun-Em decided to become a solo artist and branched away from JSquad.Kid Gun-Em meet up with Amanda Birovsek, whom is now his full time manager. Amanda Birovsek who works for "School House Productions" and "Good Life Entertainment", took Kid Gun-Em on as a independent solo artist in 2006 and has been working with him ever since than.
In 2007 Amanda had release "Gun-Em" formally known as "Kid Gun-em" out to the streets of Cleveland as a new Musical Artist that had matured in every level of his music, dancing, and performances. Gun-Em since than has had over three hit singles, "Now I'm So Fly", "Drop That", and "Freeze" aka "Frooze like da wind dance". Gun-Em's latest single "Freeze" has now become a local dance in all teenage clubs, skating rinks, and other local venues all over the city of Cleveland.
Since Gun-Em's come back he has captured the ears of locals ranging in age of 10-30 of all cultures as a hype new artist bring a new vibe to music.
Gun-Em had recently opened for major artist such as Ray Cash, Mike Jones, JR Writer of Dipset, Gorilla Zoe and Shorty Lo. Besides opening for major label artist Gun-Em along side with "Ohio's Best Hip- Hop Female Artist, "Mz Skittlez" performed and host Radio Ones WENZ 107.9's New Years Eve Bash 2007-2008 with over 700 teenagers. Gun-Em has been requested to perform at local high school homecomings, after proms, and charity events all over Northeastern Ohio. Gun-Em has been featured on many different radio stations over Ohio and has also been featured in OZone Magazine. Recently Gun-Em has been invited to represent Cleveland, Ohio at this years annual "Repp Yo City" event, being held in WaterLoo, Iowa alongside with Mz Skittlez, and former group member Mr Model all whom are under the same management.
With much success in his career in 2007, Gun-Em and his manager Amanda Birovsek are looking forward to 2008 to be a even better year than 2007.
