Mary Seats, better known as Mz. SKittlez, was born on May 22, in Cleveland, Ohio but shortly moved to Indianapolis, Indiana. Every since Skittlez was young she always had big dreams and was full of determination. Growing up around boys Skittlez made it her personal business to be a girly girl. The essence of music, instilled in her from as far as Skittlez can recall it to be, developed into her as a second nature. Mz. Skittlez would endlessly entertain her family members and friends by singing, dancing and acting which later became her expertise as she incessantly dwelled in the spotlight. Skittlez was always tsking apart in talent shows, cheer leading, step shows, non violence, events , open mics and etc. Indeed, while attending elementary school, Mz. Skittlez found her niche in entertainment.Nonetheless, Mz. Skittlez stepped into the stream of music in High school as she slowly emerged as a talented female rapper. Growing up in a community where money was not fluent, she began to be creative by making clothes and putting colors in her hair. Which is where her name came from attending Broadripple Highschool which was later became known as "Tragedy High." After the death of her best friend in ninth grade her life began to take a turn. Skittlez knowing that the only way she would be able to tell her story is through her music. Shortly after Skittlez best friend was murdered three other close friends that attended school with her were murdered. Out of pure pleasure, Skittlez commenced to mix rhymes and beats and certainly took pride in doing so. Although Skittlez confidence and optimism preserved in her the passion for rap in High School, it was not until the Senior year of High School that Mz. Skittlez left the place of naivete and became serious about her music. Skittlez fast-rising fame among her classmates then became apparent. With such an amazing sense of style and an appeal to her generation, Mz. Skittlez took the initiative to distinguish herself from the many young rappers of her area during the summer of 2006 when she went in the studio to record her first major track. Skittlez admiration for music fostered many more songs which came from the original source of her works and became a catalyst which stimulated the pursuit of a hopeful career.
In the midst of her success another tragedy prevails which is the death of her older sister, Denise McKoy. Denise was missing for fifteen days, which lead to Mz. Skittlez being surrounded by media due to her father, Art McKoy a known activist and radio show host. After finding out her sister committed suicide Skittlez began to realize music was her only way out.Mz. Skittlez early acquaintance with music, the great work and discipline she acquired from her loving parents who cultivated in her the wisdom of life. Skittlez realizing her need for represntation lead to her link up with Latif Huges owner of promotional company School House Productions whom had now become her full time manager.In 2007 Skittlez realizing her sucess at a overwellming rate added another aset to her management team and hired Amanda Birovsek as her Asistant Manager, whom is also working under School House Productions. Latif and Amanda began working with Skittlez on promotions, marketablity, musical content, and all other aspects of her musical career.Skittlez now know for the diversity in her songs and her remarkable commitment to such an art has put her name at the tip of everyone's tongue in her surroundings. A marvel, sagacious, eminent, lovely with a firm personality, Mz. SKittlez is recognized for her new and unique in-your-face lyrical style. Skittlez most commonly known for her unique style, puchlines and metaphores she uses in her music has got her name buzzing the streets all over the state of Ohio. A rarity among the current teenage rappers, the soulful voice is eager to bring something fresh for your ears. Youngest in her style, the perfectionist is destined for success.Mz.
