About Me

here is my tribute to phillipe petite - (he successfully planned and executed a tight rope walk between the twin towers in 1974, not one - 9 passes which included laying down, kneeling, running) the short story: my friend tom frost asked if i would be interested in giving a concert suspended within a 12 story, ~12 " in diameter tube. it would be a part of a mistake he was planning. i agreed to do it as it seemed to be an amazing opportunity to to confront my incredible fear of heights AND well . . explore my voice in space . i told my friend i would do it - as an improvisation. i wanted to be totally open to how i would respond to the stimulus of the height and the darkness and oh, did i mention that i would be breaking into the building? read below. the coup made the debut for a new column by silke tudor in the village voice. secondly, click and hear the audio from the mic i had taped to my back - this past year i have been truly embracing my fear. you can hear the mic scrape against the entry to the tube then receive the space. listen closely - there are also pics on suckapants.com this is todd seelie's site [he documented the event by overexposing his film to allow the darkness to be captured]village voice article: tom frost's "mistake dinner"[CLICK TO READ], project phillipe audio clip [CLICK TO LISTEN]

i've got an old RCA solid state 12" b/w tube; jacob, my roommate, insists on direct tv i turn it on every now and again to watch some ku basketball
