but, our fucked up personalities keep getting in the way.We have had our first show and it was awesome. We learned

have came out and had a great time at one of our shows.A BRIEF PASSAGE FROM 'THE LEGEND OF THE SCURVES'Once upon a moon, there once was a man named Jesse,
who had the idea of bringing his students
together in perfect band-like harmony.
Little did he know, that this would actually cause
something more like total chaos with the black and
soiled souls he would create acquaintances between.Guitar players, Alex 'The Elephant Man' Alfa,
and Luis 'The Guz' Guzman were brought together
with the likes of local scallywag, Marshall 'Captain Redbeerd' Lytle.At the first of the time, all seemed well, until....
avas, they strummed their first hellacious chords as A BAND.
Later on, the three were to acquire the likes of
Matt 'White Noise' Steffey on the drums.They practiced hard and well............all they needed was a name.Carved from brutal mind-racking and
shit brimstone, a name was chosen.On the fateful noon of March the 29, 2006
THE SCURVES burst onto the scene
like bats out of the gates of hell.(skipping around a bit....)Later on however, to the band's dismay,
Matt left the band due to problems at his quarters
and the three lurked in search of a temp.He was found..............lingering in The Butthole Of The Southwest,
with The Captain himself, was Tim 'Clyde Catastrophe' Stone.Once again complete, the four vile, hellacious sons of bitches
known only as THE SCURVES, took charge in their Surf Punk Blues
Stout Rock'n'Roll escapades and began creating
pure genius musical fusion with their instrumentsThe only thing that could happen now was to play shows.
And play they did. Playing with bands such as the likes of
The Badlanderz and Left Unattended, The Scurves left their
surf comfort zone and entered the treacherous punk rock territory.
Playing at bars like The Emergency Room Lounge, The Scurves
thought they had it all figured out.Then one day they got a ring from their masters over at Thee
Swank Bastards and were asked to come along on a journey they
never expected to come. They were asked to set their sails
towards the Divebar to join Thee Swank Bastards and
Three Bad Jacks for a killer shindig. Could this be true? The
Scurves haven't played with TSB since their first show in February of 2007.
This show has then marked a stepping stone in the history of The Scurves.
The crowd was roaring and The Scurves have never seen
such a great band of scallywags this side of the black sea.
There they met Quint and his band of Cowpunks and a great
calamity ensued.The Scurves began feeling a new surge flowing through their bodies.
Matt "The White Noise" returned for a showing that only he could create.
While that night Alex "The Elephant Man" Alfa shed his skin and became
Johnny Revelator, badass extraordinaire. Starting out as the shy player
that he was the crowd quickly turned him into the man he always
wanted to be; kicking ass and taking names.As the sea settled this band of pirates had to face some
harsh reality. Tim Stone had to set his sails down a different path on
this darkly sea to be happy. He will be missed and will one day return
but for now The Scurves need to have some solid ground under their feet.
After the amazing showcase at The Divebar, Matt Steffey has stepped
back into the saddle and will be contributing his own brand of kickass
to these lonely souls.And so 'The Legend of the Scurves' continues and new
characters are brought in. Quint has introduced The Scurves
to his own band of badassitude over at The Pharaohs and shows
will be played. So stay tuned for that and much more.
