About Me

Thank you all for making RRCS 4 the most sucessful in Rock N Roll Craft Show history! Please check back with us soon for info about RRCS 5!!!! www.rocknrollcraftshow.com
In 2005 a group of crafty friends saw a need for opportunities to exhibit and sell the fruits of their labor. Over many games of poker (and countless glasses of wine), Heather Visnesky, Jessi Kelley, Krista Durlas, and Sharlene Kindt decided to create their own show, incorporating a rock and roll theme with their interest in the burgeoning craft movement. The women set to work recruiting St. Louis artists for the department store-style Rock N Roll Craft Show.
The first show, in October 2005, was an overwhelming success. The show’s website received over 140,000 hits in the weeks leading up the event. Over 50 juried artists exhibited over 1,800 distinctive, handmade items and attracted over 2,000 shoppers in a mere 7 hours.
Three new organizers joined the founding members for the June 2006 edition of Rock N Roll Craft Show: Sara Arnold, Meghan McGlynn, and Nora Vandivort. The event was extended for an entire weekend and was named the Best Craft Exhibition in Saint Louis by the Riverfront Times. Over 70 artists were accepted to exhibit their wares while 9 bands rocked the crowd of over 4,000 people. Shoppers patiently lined up outside the venue, and once inside, racked up over $25,000 in sales in two days. The offerings included apparel, purses and bags, wallets, housewares, ceramics and pottery, jewelry, knitwear, home decor, magnets, furniture, framed photos, zines, toys, baby items, belts, and much more. Everything was handmade using a variety of new and recycled materials.
The latest offering of Rock N Roll Craft Show was bigger and better than ever. The show is the perfect alternative to the madness of the corporate retail shopping scene. Shoppers can take a break from gift browsing to relax with a drink and a snack while checking out one of the featured bands or participate in one of the craft workshops held throughout both days. Additionally, our generous sponsors gave away attendance prizes such as gift certificates and merchandise. ...
