About Me

Then, one day, I was born in Springfield, MO. In highschool I joined/formed a few bands. Ever heard of the Fried Pipers? Brownsound was my big highschool band with my best friends Alex and Brad. Our singer/pianist was Randy Wooten who is still at it with his band The Bloody Lovelies. I decided I enjoyed playing guitar and writing songs so I moved to Los Angeles to go to Musicians Institute. Roommates I've had in abundance. Piere from France, Carlos for Columbia, Ricky from China, Jonas from Sweden, Jose from Spain, Ana from Mexico. That was a great experience as we were all together for music. In 1994 I graduated with honors and joined a bunch more bands. Played a variety of styles, learned to sing and write and ROCK! I was never interested in movies while out there even though I had a bunch of friends in "the biz". I did some music editing in 2001 for The Privateers, a sci-fi pilot starring Karl Urban and Walter Koenig. In 2004, after having moved back to the midwest a couple years prior, I decided to make a movie. My girlfriend at the time and now my wife had a dv camcorder and a mac so I thought why not? It will take a couple of weeks, I'll fool around with some bluescreen, write some music, it'll be fun. I did every aspect of movie production myself. A year and 2 months later I was done and it was a feature length film, Rock 'n' Roll Space Patrol Action Is Go!. That's been one of the hardest, most educational, frustrating, exciting, and rewarding years of my life. Aside from completing my movie, I took two much need vacations, got married and bought my first house. RNRSP had a successful launch on 6-6-06 although I think we fell short of beating out The Omen. Now I'm teaching guitar and bass lessons to kids and adults 7-70. I've taken a break from live music and devote a good deal of my time writing film music and finishing Highway Pirates due out summer of 2007.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

People who are into low budget movie production and not afraid to get their hands dirty doing it. As far as people to have a conversation with, Danny Elfman, Joh Carpenter, Eddie Van Halen, Hulk Hogan, Jim Kelly, Jon Saxon, Howard Shore. Ben Folds and Elvis Costello I've met but it would be nice to have a beer and actually get to rap together.

My Blog

January Ice Storms

So we had these crazy evil ice storms here in Missouri that turned our world upside down and broke so many trees and power lines. I went out and videotaped the scene and got some interviews. I uploade...

I really don't think of myself as a "go getter". When I think of work I think, "Oh drag". I am very fortunate that I could get by in life working three hours a day five days a week.A good time to me i...
