About Me

One of the most gifted and enjoyable talents soon to be launched into the big sky of todays music scene. Marcus powerful R&B crooning and refined vocal style is intoxicating to his audience. They can never get enough. Marcus was born in Rome, New York. The first of three children born into an Air Force family, he quickly became oriented to world traveling and winning over new friends and audiences. This fact probably adds to his ability to fit in any situation from the Hip Hop to Pop. Marc was singing from his high chair before he could even walk and he loved music. Marcus and his little brother and sister sang together in church and brought cheers and amens from the congregation with their variation on Mary Dont You Weep when he was just 8-years-old. In High School Marcus became a featured soloist in an award-winning show choir and personally won top solo competitions through the southeast. In 1995, he along with three friends formed the group Prominence and the quartet did gain prominence in and around their town singing in various venues from Atlanta to their hometown of Opelika, Alabama. Marcus received a scholarship to continue in a college chorus but after a year of school decided to strike out to Atlanta to sing professionally. It was no small task in that talent-filled metropolis but Marcus carved out a name and a following there. Now represented by Writers Block Entertainment, Marcus has a repertoire of dramatic music well represented by his first CD release of eleven (11) tracks rightfully titled Versatility. Mr. Marcus seductive delivery is a natural by-product of his spiritual outlook on life, his inherent talent and giftedness. Hes influenced by his eclectic love for music and such musical legends as Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, and Al Green. Keep you ears open and get ready for significant musical pleasure Mr. Marcus is about to take the stage.
