Steve Brown
is today's rising comedy stars. His trademark high-pitched voice and high-energy physical antics sets him apart from the rest. Born in Los Angeles, California and shortly moving down south to small town Tuscaloosa, Alabama, where he was raised in the church by his grand parents the late Pastor Frank McMullen and Lucille McMullen, Steve has been making audiences laugh since his freshman year at his alma mater Stillman College. After completing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast communitcations in 2003, Steve aggressively pursued his career as a professional entertainer. Through prayer, hard work and dedication, Steve has accomplished national exposure on many different occasions. Most recently Steve appeard in Tyler Perry's hit movie Madea's Family Reunion and he has been showcased on top rated TV shows such as: Russell Simons' Def Comedy Jam, BET's Comic View, Show time at the Apollo, P. Diddy's Bad boys of comedy and the Tom Joyner morning show. Steve was also featured in the hit stage play "Casino". Steve Brown has taken his energizing act across the nation to various comedy clubs, large venues and colleges such as: The University of Alabama, Mississippi State University, Southern University and the University of Minnesota to name a few. Clubs and venues include the Virginia house of comedy, Zanies, comedy club Star dome (Birmingham, AL), the Improvs and the Bronner brothers international hair shows. Steve Brown has worked with an array of artist such as: Gerald Levert, Kelly Price, TLC, Goodie Mob, Outkast, Phil Perry, Glen Jones, the Barkays, Roger and Zapp, Cedric the Entertainer, Don "DC" Curry, Rickey Smiley, Anthony Anderson, J. Anthony Brown, Cheryl Underwood, Somore and D.L. Hughley. Steve is no stranger to public service and giving back to the community. He does comedy shows in his hometown bringing in fellow comedians and showcasing local talent to raise money for the Steve Brown Scholarship fund he started in 2002. He is also an active memeber of the Omega Psi Phi fraternity Inc. When Steve is not on stage, he spends time with his three sons, Steven, Tanezs and Treven. He also finds time to substitute teach in the Tuscaloosa county school system and volunteer at the local Park and Recreation as a little league football coach. Steve Brown is one of the hottest up and coming comics working today. If you like great high-energy, physical comedy, then you will love Steve Brown!
