About Me

Even before she was born, her mother knew that God had a purpose for her. Shortly after that revelation they were involved in an accident which nearly took their lives. Through Gods grace, they were able to make it through and Mz Tina was able to be born into this world to help bring souls to Gods kingdom. However, Mz Tina started singing at the age of 2 years old & first got into music as her father, a Bishop & Pastor of a church in Weldon, North Carolina took the time to show his daughter how to play (3) chords on the keyboard, and the rest was history. Mz Tina has been playing and performing ever since as a musician and vocalist. As a teenager before finishing high school, Mz Tina Married and moved to Jacksonville, Florida. In Jacksonville, Mz Tina persued her education with the encouragement and help of her husband began to network with many of Jacksonville's musicians and vocalists, and performed at various venues around the country and appeared on shows such as Bobby Jones Gospel. She also served as choir director for New Life Evangelistic Center (www.nlec.org) under the leadership of Bishop Antonio C Richardson. During Mz Tina's time at New Life, the church was reviewed and would later be named by The Church of God as one of the fastest growing, forward thinking churches in the state of Florida, as well as by Church Business Magazine as one of the most innovative, forward thinking churches in the entire country. Mz Tina, however, was not afforded the opportunity to be a part of New Life when these awards were made official. In November of 2003 tragedy fell as the most instrumental person in Tina's musical career passed away. This was her husband. But where God closes one door, he opens others. Tina and her two young children moved back to North Carolina to head the music and dance ministry at her father's church. During this time Mz Tina went through a period of unbridled creativity. Through God she was able to draw from her tragic experiences to produce many poems, songs, and musical compositions. However, these tragic events would not stop her from her purpose. Finally, Mz Tina through the advice and encouragement of trusted friends started working towards her first musical project. But tragedy didn't stop there, almost as soon as that decision was made, more tragic events hit her and her family in an attempt to cripple them. In March of 2006 her close & only brother died in a house fire at the age of 32 years old. Other forms of trials would also unfold in order to derail and sabotage her efforts to do what God said that she would do. It has been a difficult journey, but Mz Tina still officially began her first project, and has worked with and is scheduled to work with some of the more phenominal producers in Gospel music today. Mz Tina knows and understands that if you have a devine purpose, that there will be hindrances and obstacles to prevent its manifestation, but she also knows that its not by her strength that she is able to persevere. Its also not by her strength that the final powerful product will be delivered. Through her trials God continues to show himself strong, and as obedience is better than sacrifice, through obedience to him, doors continue to open.I edited my profile at Freeweblayouts.net , check out these Myspace Layouts!
