dj Pato aka Erik Pato** Pato was born in Quilpué (Chile). Arrived in Geneva in 81, he begins fast digging into his father collection of discs. Discovering among others Ray Barretto,Willy Colon, Miles Davies, Santana, Duke Ellington and consorts, he gets passionate to the afro-american music. The 80s will see him listening to as much funk or soul as the first sounds of hip-hop in Europe. Little by little his first collection of discs appears, but his first steps will be on the ground as breaker within Latino Crew. At the beginning of 90, he feels attracted by the rising electronic scene, but it is especially the new techniques of the djs that focus his attention. He continues nevertheless to enrich his collection of vinyls, without beginning for all that the djing. It is in 95 that he will dash, at first in a very musical approach (Latin jazz, soul, disco, funk), then in a register more club (house, Latin house garage) and in parallel, lounge (abstract hip-hop, downtempo, dub). After some years to play these styles separately, he takes some pleasure today to mix these genres, but always keeping coherence and particularity. His sets are evolutionary and based on different influences. Generally, house and electro-house prevail his performances in clubs. Always opened to new sounds, he especially appreciates the emergence of nujazz and broken beat, who cross marvelously his styles of preference. A eux deux ils mélangent toutes les tendances musicales latino américaines et d'amérique centrale. Dj rody se charge de toute la sélection instrumentale ; salsa, merengue, bachata,cumbia. Dj pato s'occupe de tout ce qui est éléctronique,reggaeton, latin hip-hop, latin house. Avec une cohérance dans les mixes et une séléction musicale très écléctique dans le domaine latino,les "LATIN SESSIONS" sont une des soirées incontournables.
