About Me

Hex Records started in 1995 as Hanging Like a Hex zine (which had a couple of awesome titles before sticking with that one). The label had it's first release in 1999 as a comp. 7" featuring some semi-local bands (Every Time I Die, Nora, Eternal Youth, Hermon DeKalb). From there the label went on to release music by Spark Lights the Friction, The National Acrobat, Inkling, Building On Fire, The Minor Times, Ed Gein, Cursed, Achilles, The Helm, Engineer, and No Idols. While Syracuse is where most of the label's bands call home Hex Records is open to looking to other scenes as well.
