About Me

Wow, how does one explain oneself? lol In a world that encourages self centeredness and importance, how do I convey the fact that my life doesn't belong to me? Honestly, my life is not about me at all. I know, it's weird. But the fact of the matter is, I live for Christ. To glorify Him and to bring glory to Him thru my lifestyle. ...To be continued. Always look up †. -V.
"For Unbelievers this world is the best of our existence, but for Christians it is the worst." -Unknown to me
"Jesus for the win!" -Jeremy H.
"Are dem skrawberries?" -Cassidee

"A lady's imagination is very rapid; it jumps from admiration to love, from love to matrimony, in a moment." -Pride & Prejudice
"You are my hero, You came and saved the day." -Kirk Franklin
"Thank You (Christ) for giving me life!." -MikeReal (rapper)
"They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I wanna be the beauty in the eye of Jehovah" -Jocelyn
"I have "Good hair" ...we got African in our family"

WHY I DON'T DATE: CASUALLY OR OTHERWISE
...For those who continue to inquire.

The shortest possible answer I can give you is... [insert drum roll] I simply choose not to. lol But seriously, when I was about 17 or so, after a lot of searching the Word and tons of prayer, I decided it was best for me not to date. Personally, I could be using my time to better myself and build a closer relationship with my Creator and first love (Christ), and being involved with someone would hinder me. Besides, God tells us to avoid temptation, and honestly, being emotionally involved with someone would just put me in the midst of temptation. lol
So, until God says it's time for holy matrimony, I'll be single in every aspect of the word. That's the short answer of "why don't you date, shawty" lol (that irks me to no end). If you want more info just let me know. Also, this would prolly give more detail, so check it out .

WARNING: DO NOT READ THIS!!!!

Seriously though... If you read this you will know The Truth and then it will be on YOU to respond.

Why does everyone have some sense of moral responsibility built into them? Why everyone calls out "Oh my God" or even calls Jesus' name (even if it's profanely).

That is because we were born with a inward knowledge of God. He put that there so you would desire to know/believe in Him.

We wonder why the world is dangerous and so much is messed up. That's because God doesn't force us to do anything! We've had our way with the world and with our own lives. We've got it the way we want it.... No one can tell us what to do because we're our OWN boss. Right... we've done a good job of that so far eh?

You've probably heard this before but we've lived our lives like we want and not the way God wants us to. Now God is perfect and because we haven't lived up to His standard (absolute obedience), He needs to judge us for our wrong. The only suitable punishment is death! That's right, me and you have to die to repay God! Think about the word forever....... Should we risk ignoring the truth because we think we're smart enough to know it's just a lie from the Christians??

So, about this whole Jesus thing... The reason He died was to take the responsibility of being responsible off of us!! So, you wonder what the point of salvation is?? It's simply letting Jesus take the punishment instead of us. He's already taken the punishment. He's suffered and died for US! So, will you let Jesus take YOUR punishment?? Other than your life, what more could you possibly lose??

I would encourage you to at the very least, talk to someone or find out for yourself what you believe. What risk are you willing to take?

Music:

I love music, so I'm very eclectic. I love music that convicts me. Music that feels good and gives me butterflies. Music that makes me feel like a queen. Music that makes me emotional. Music that makes me think. Music that makes me dance! Music that heightens my senses, and makes me aware of a beautiful day. Music that expresses the love I have for my King. Music that expresses the love I have for those close to me. Anything that glorifies God by making known His creativity, love, holiness, and absolute brilliance is what I love.
