Yac-Yan Da Biznessman born Yancey McWeay is the flagship artist for Naysay Music. He also holds the position as President for Naysay Music and Repetition Clothing. Yac-Yan was born and raised in Washington DC, where he became accustomed to the street life at a very young age. No matter how deep into the streets he got Yac-Yan always took his education serious. His love for music is the one thing that has always been consistent in his life. Yac-Yan has been writing raps since elementary school, before going solo he was a member of the group Alius. Alius was once a known entity in the DC music scene. However difficult is was to do, Yac-Yan left the group and put his passion for music on hold to further his education. Yac-Yan graduated Cum Laude from UDC in May 2002 with two degrees, an AA in Graphic Design and BA in Studio Art. That's where his inspiration for his clothing line came from, he designs and markets his own line. "Repetition Clothing is urban fashion at it's best, it has the feel and attitudes of the city but with a very classic and traditional overtone, " he says. Yac-Yan's passion for music and fashion are equally balanced, he plans to bring his line into the mainstream along with his music. His debut album "Last but not Least" is a perfect example of who he is and where he's been. The album is universal, eclectic, and inspirational. This album is by far not a demo, but a well planned and executed work of art. It has the creativity and maturity of an artist whose been in the industry for years, however it was his first solo album. Yac-Yan currently lives in Atlanta where he is working on his second LP "Life Is An Album" and performing live on almost a nightly basis. Before leaving DC he developed quite a following, this is also becoming the case in Atlanta. Over the years he has perfected his stage presence and has performed along side some of music's most respected artist. Yac-Yan's live performance at Club Daedalus was aired for a month on Da Scene, a local hip-hop show which is on Comcast cable channel 80 in Washington DC. Yac-Yan also performed at the Riding Dirty Celebrity Car and Bike Show in Atlanta, GA. This event was at the Georgia International Convention Center and was hosted by Big Boi of Outkast, Hot 1079 FM and various other corporate sponsors. He also has songs placed on various mix-cds. He is focused and determined on making a huge impact on the music industry with his innovative style and very strategic business tactics. Furthermore he actually has something to say. "I'm not coming into this industry to be a clone but to be an artist," says Yac-Yan. However he is much more than an artist, he's an entrepreneur, businessman, and visionery.
