About Me

Bio - by Jason Webb: HI! My name is Amy Lou. I have a black belt in the art of lookin' so good. From my many years of disciplined meditation and exercises to attain the status of black belt, I have learned patience, wit, and love of my fellow humans. If you have an emergency call me and I'll be there.
I'm the whole ball of wax: supple and soft, and I melt easily --- but I can also burn you right well so you better watch yourself!

My Interests

Film, Video, Singing, Dancing, Photography, Art, Fashion, Sketching, Poetry, Music, Theater, TRUTH, hiking, sleeping, cuddling, being warm, pie, cookie dough, ice cream, noodles, salad, cleanliness, JOY, depth, blanket forts, going out, staying in, CONNECTIONS, psychology, neurology, getting lost in his eyes, my kitty (RIP), shoes that fit, VIBRATIONS, holding on, letting go, shiny objects, smiling, numbers, smell-goodies, erasers, permanent markers, LIFE.

I'd like to meet:

I just moved to Millbrae. It would be nice to have some new friends in the neighborhood...Karaoke queens and kings! Mountain-scalers. Sky-divers. Avid book-readers (reading makes you more intelligent and interesting.) People who love to travel - I don't so much anymore, what with the work schedule, but I want to build a list for that world-tour I take some day - so tell me everything!
You don't have to know exactly where you're going, but that "somewhere" should be more than a pipe dream...
The biggest room in my heart is reserved for geeks.
Personal Vexation: COWARDS.
We loath in others what we fear to see in ourselves. Please Note: WHY YOU NEED MY FULL NAME OR EMAIL TO ADD ME - This is not to keep away people who don't know these things already - so if you don't, just ask! - but to stop the friggin spambots from trying to add me constantly. Ugh.

Movies:

I take what I want out of any picture, so I can pretty much watch anything... Recents: Children of Men. (I needed a shower and a maalox at the end of that one. Seriously intense.) The 40-year-old virgin. I had zero expectations of this movie, but I've probably watched it 30 times. It's just so good (every character is a gem)! Also, Napoleon Dynamite and Little Miss Sunshine.
Some remembered with fondness, or at least appreciation: Far Away, So Close; Wings of Desire; Sunrise (1926); The Cook, The Thief, His Wife and Her Lover; The Notebook; Being John Malkovich; City of Lost Children; I 3 Huckabees; Kill Bill; There's Something About Mary; Finding Neverland; Ying Xiong (Hero); Wo Hu Cang Long (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon); American Beauty; Life Is Beautiful; Fargo; Muriel's Wedding; Secret of Nymn; Labyrinth; Legend; Neverending Story; Rocky Horror Picture Show; Bashu... I'm pretty random, but I love foreign films (especially German, French, Italian and Persian Cinema), and I even enjoy the occasional cheese-ball movie...

Television:

I like watching tv series on dvd when they're all done... HBO; Showtime a distant second, and a few randoms here and there... Six Feet Under, Sex and the City, SCRUBS, Alias, Dead Like Me, Entourage... Shhh! I secretly adore American Chopper, too... HGTV.

Books:

I love Books!!! Recently read: The Art of Happiness (Dalai Lama); The Spectator Bird; The River Why; Sokk; Quicksilver; How the Light Gets In; The Way the Crow Flies; Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister; The Royal Road to Romance (again)...

Heroes:

Those who can give and give and never feel emptied... Those with Integrity. Honesty. Spontaneity. Energy. Loyalty. Good hearts, bright eyes. People who like to keep the scales balanced... Those who understand that they won't always understand, but can be there anyway.

In the effort of fairness

I don't believe either one of you. But I'm not going to hold it against either of you either... How many times can I say "either" in so few sentences?
