" POSITIVITY IS A STRENGTH, NEGATIVITY IS WEAKNESS, THERES ALWAYS LIGHT THROUGH THE DARKNESS, AND THE LORD TO MAKE U RIGHTESS" sykes is female rapper/songwriter/entertainer from BRUM uk. sykes has been writing and rhyming since 10 years old but started taking it seriously untill she became a teenager.The first Talent show sykes did, outside of school, she was brought on stage in a straight Jacket, and that was a trade mark. The name psycho was given too zara by her friends, not in a bad way, but ishe's just a bit random and nutts.we were on the channel U tour in 2005 in Cardiff, and Birmingham, we was also one of three opening act for mario winas at the Carling Academy Birmingham, we perfomed at Marcus Garvey, opening act for buju banton 2007 and various parks, clubs, and colleges! This game is tough, but we love it! ..

Influences: When i was a yout, me and my cousins, n sisters would make up songs,we would dance, and sing, and my male cousins would rap, i wanted to rap too, So i'd go home and learn bare verses from rap songs, but i was too shy to do them in front of anybody so i'd rap to my little sis intead. Eventually, i got involved in the school concert, my first public performance, i sang ribbon in the sky by INTRO, and rapped da bratts verse in i don't need no one with TOTAL, it was heavy i knew i wanted to rap, and entertain people.My auntie who also sings, and i remember seeing her on blue peter with musical youth, and award shows, freddy starr, and ub40's video may rivers to cross in da choir, and i was fasinated,and hoped one day i could do all thoughs shows too.Reggae is a big influence, reminds me off being a yout on sunday or sat mums cooking and blasting the music lol! I'm influenced by old skool, hip hop, 80's soul, n pop, Rock, and artists like, sugar hill, salt and pepper, roxanne chante, run dmc, tribe call quest, and new skool like foxy brown, missy, Remi martin, biggy, tu pac, nas, eminem, lady saw the list goes on! Music is the core of me!
