L.E.N.K.

lenk was born in schwetzingen, near mannheim in germany in the early 80s. as a son of a turkish father and a german mother, he was and is still influenced by two different cultural backrounds. you can sound out this fact in many of lenk´s tracks.his love for music woke early, when he began to listen to michael jackson tapes trying to sing along with the lyrics, which he didn´t even understand at this time. years later, after being influenced by many different music styles ranging from nirvana to original turkish music and of course rap and acts like The Notorious BIG or Jay-z, he began to create his own lyrics in german language. In 2002, his sister asli, singer and songwriter herself, took him to marburg and they recorded lenk´s first track on a beat by producer mario hasenkamp at the ourforce studio. since then they had an intense musical partnership which grew from year for year.
