Writing, wine tasting, dining and get togethers. Can't forget travel. Getting to know people in their own environment. No, I am definitely not a tour bus type of guy. I might miss some sites, but I think you see more in sidewalk cafes and on back country roads. Thinking about getting a Harley - my brother just got one and it's real tempting. We've both ridden a lot. I play guitar, but need to learn some new tunes. My new passion is writing (first book Heartburn Cured at Heartburncured.com) and I already have plans for two new books, if I can keep from getting too distracted. I want to write one on my grandfather (Chris Carr). I never knew him. My mom was an orphan and he went to fight in World War II. I recently confirmed that he won the Congressional Medal of Honor under Roosevelt in 1943 in Italy and he is buried in the National Veterans Cemetery in LA. I recently visited the grave is it was really something. I will tell an interesting aspect of this story on my blog one of these days.
People like my friends John and his wife Amie who makes me laugh like hell, or Rich, my wine tasting buddy, who knows how to have fun and enjoy life. I am always interested in meeting interesting / creative people and those embarking on great adventures or new projects. I love making things happen and want to be around people who have new ideas or a different perspective. I feel fortunate to have the family and friends I do and wish to continue to make more great friends.
The blues, Jonny A, John Barley Corn, and a lot of old stuff. Any good guitar work, especially acoustic / unplugged tunes. If it's live, it's the best.
Phenomenon with John Travolta, The Big Labowski of course, Wolf Jack Nicolson. That's my whole collection. I am also big on psyco thrillers -don't care for chick flicks...
Discovery, National Geographic, finance shows, news and movies
Breaking the Vicious Cycle by Elaine Gottschall. I just read her book and decided I wanted to speak with her and if at all possible meet her. She is such an amazing women. I just found out she died last September. I was stunned. Protein Power and Protein Power Life Plan by Mike and Mary Dan Eades. You will seldom meet two more brilliant physicians and authors. Gardening and cooking books. I could start a library. Grisham and Crighton novels.
Harry Houdini, Einstein, John F. Kennedy and Bobby, Mike Malamy (A smart guy I had the chance to study under at Tufts), my brother Greg (an awesome builder and good dad), John Patti - I just really like this guy, Mike Eades (Protein Power Co-author) who has taken me under the wing a bit.
