Josh "Schoix" Wermut
My musical career started at age 14, performing live and experimenting with recording techniques and composition. Since then I've devoted my time to developing and expanding on these early passions.
For 15 years now, I have worked in music and audio production across the board- both in live and studio situations. Composing,arranging, underscoring, engineering, producing- and all with the aim of creating quality music in tandem with quality sound.
Like all true musicians, however, nothing beats strapping on a guitar and lickin' my chops in public - which I still do as often as I can.
Fast forward to today. I work with a vast range of artists covering a world of musical genres. Fusing recording techniques - new and old - with a wide palette of musical styles. From Rock, Hip Hop and Electronica to Jazz, Soul, Classical and Ethnic influences.
There are no rules. Everything is possible.
I guess this is a result of my life long love for the music that is rooted in Soul and R&B meshed with my passion to create fresh, yet timeless, vehicles for whatever's going on in my head at the time.
Of course, the influences of the people I collaborate with are all-important in the evolution of my work. My love.
