About Me

"me me me me... is all you think that I care about!" and, no, it's not "all I wanna talk about!"... So here I am in MySpace, a temple dedicated to narcisism... Well, let's not be so dramatic. I don't mind talking about myself, but writing about me is something different. I'm a girl, I'm french, I live right in the middle of France, feel a bit lost and lonely there, but no that much! I'm passionate, curious, not completely stupid, and I can be funny with the people I know and people who know me. As a child I was very shy, but I managed to get over it. I like the idea of being a bit misanthropic but in fact, I like people. I hate stupid persons, I can be very hard to please. I may have lack of self confidence but guess I have enough self esteem. I study Art History in Clermont Ferrand and specialized in XXth century Art and even more in Jean Cocteau's work. I'm also a tourist guide, I do guided tours of Clermont's old center, of the Art museum and its contemporary art exhibitions. I love doing this, and wish I could make it become a real job. One day maybe... I'll let you know anyway! I do those guided tours both in french and english. I therefor have the opportunity to speak english and meet a lot of people from all around the world which is really enriching. By the way, I write this in english coz' most of the friends (I hope I'll get to see them here...) who will read this understand english, and if they don't they already know me so... they won't miss too much! You noticed that I haven't written about what I like... well the list would be far too long... and boring! I'll begin to make one, in a kind of dadaist way, to give a end to this article about myself written by myself: Drawing, pencils, my hands, my eyes, the smell of fresh painting, cold and sunny winters, my black coat, my boots, my watch, the beauty spot on my left wrist, Bowie's Thin White Duke period (and to be honnest: everything about David Bowie), black and white portrait pictures, british actors who play vilains, Chet Baker's voice, red meat, the sound of guitar amps when you plug them, rock concerts, getting setlists at the end of those rock concerts, musicals with Gene Kelly, Tyrone Power's eyes, coffee, Rick Mayall's antics, Beethoven's symphony n°7's second movement, Aubrey Beardsley's work, violets, newspaper (just the paper), Dracula, vinyl records, the sound of the record player's head rolling on the vinyls groove, the smell of the Atlantic Ocean, Jean Marais's Laugh, Air, travelling by train, sleeping, XIXth century Saint-Sulpice prints a lot more things but this has to end at one point!

Some books are stuck in my memories though: André Malraux's "La Condition Humaine", Wlliam Shakespeare's "Hamlet", Molière's "Tartuffe", Bram Stocker's "Dracula", Edmond Rostand's "Cyrano de Bergerac", Joseph Kessel's "Le Lion", John Steinbeck's "Of Mice and Men"... I love reading well written music magazines like old french Rock and Folk and Best and english mags like Q, Mojo, Uncut or Record Collector... I love art books! I've always prefered books with a lot of images and just a few words... If I were rich, I would have a hell of an art book collection...
