About Me

Where to start.... I was born and raised in Papillion, Nebraska. After four disappointing years in high school I took the first chance I could to get out of the Cornhusker state. Not to mention once my older brother and sister moved back in, the house got kinda crowded. I moved down to Royse City, Texas with my then boyfriend, now husband, Robert. We were married on November 28, 2004 on Beaver Lake. (Well, not on the lake. You know what I mean!) My husband left for Navy bootcamp in September '05. Rob was stationed in Groton, Connecticut at the New London Sub Base in November, right out of boot camp. We just moved to Silverdale, Washington. Rob has been put on the USS Louisiana here on the Bangor Subase. We have two black labs named Spinner and Sadie. They're crazy!

My Interests

I enjoy reading, hiking, gardening, and collecting paperdolls. Oooo.... I'll have to scan one and put it in my pics so everyone can see!

Alton Brown, Tom Tierney, Katharine Hepburn, and my Greek ancestors.

Music:

I listen to just about everything. My favorite band is Five Iron Frenzy. As long as I can sing to it, it's great. I just started listening to Japanese pop. NEW FAVES (dec '06): My Chemical Romance and Blue October.

Television:

I don't watch much tv cause we don't have cable. We'd rather pay for the internet. But I just joined Netflix so I'm finally getting to see all of the episodes of Gilmore Girls that I missed. Like the first three seasons! Just finished watching Cardcaptor Sakura and Live Action Sailor Moon. When I had cable I watched Cartoon Network and Animal Planet. I miss Adult Swim! :-( NEW FAVES (dec '06): House and Scrubs.

Books:

I just finished this GREAT book, Blue Like Jazz by Donald Miller. Marley and Me by John Grogan was also great. I love anything by David and Leigh Eddings, Janet Evanovich, Anne McCafferey, and Jane Austen. And who doesn't like Harry Potter? Also enjoy Ranma 1/2. Very funny, but quite confusing sometimes. Really loved Twilight and New Moon by Stephenie Meyer.
