I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

Not much to tell. I live for eating a hot dog with a warm beer in the sweltering afternoon sun while sitting in the cheap seats of just about any ballpark (you can probably guess my favorite). Nothing is more exhilarating than the sound of a fastball hitting the heart of a well-worn leather glove or the echoing crack of a baseball hitting the sweet spot of a Louisville Slugger.

I love children's and young adult literature. I love all books really, but these genres have really captured my heart. I hope to steer my career in publishing in this direction eventually. I live a drama-free, simple, happy life and I plan to keep it that way!

My Interests

baseball, travel, my dog Wrigley, engaging conversation, long walks on the beach, blah, blah, blah I love young adult and children's lit. The reasons are countless, so I won't drone on about them here. However, buy me a beer and I promise I won't shut up about it. Currently, my favorite illustrators are Mercer Mayer, Mary GrandPre and Chris Van Allsburg.

I'd like to meet:

Roger Clemens and Mariano Rivera ;)

You're Catch-22!
by Joseph Heller
Incredibly witty and funny, you have a taste for irony in all that you see. It seems that life has put you in perpetually untenable situations, and your sense of humor is all that gets you through them. These experiences have also made you an ardent pacifist, though you present your message with tongue sewn into cheek. You could coin a phrase that replaces the word "paradox" for millions of people.

NaNoWriMo

I have, very ambitiously, taken on the NaNoWriMo challenge.  50,000 words in a month.  It's acknowledged that most of what is written in this challenge is crap, which is comforting.  Be...
