Movies:

Anything with a good story and a "proper" ending (I hate films that just stop without tying things up properly). Enjoy Alfred Hitchcock type films that have a bit of everything thrown in - mystery, romance, suspense. Also enjoy romantic films such as "An Officer and a Gentleman", and sentimental dramas such as "The Green Mile".

Television:

Love a good psychological drama, murder mystery or who-done-it. Also watch "Coronation Street" and "EastEnders" (even when it's having a boring patch which seems to be most of the time) and manage to get hooked on "Big Brother" every year even though I always say never again!
In comedy enjoy "Little Britain", "The League of Gentlemen" (except for the final series when they killed off my favourite characters, Tubbs and Edward, in the first episode!!), "Phoenix Nights", "Max and Paddy's Road to Nowhere", "The Catherine Tate Show", "Alan Partridge" (especially the brilliant series set in the Travel Tavern). Currently really enjoying "Al Murray's Happy Hour" and "Harry Hill's TV Burp" - two of the funniest men on television right now. Still think the old comedies are far funnier than today's crop and love "Some Mothers Do Ave Em", "The Likely Lads", "The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin", "Porridge", etc etc.
Will watch anything with the brilliant Ant and Dec in it, and also have a soft spot for "Stingray" (Troy Tempest and Marina - aww! - see picture below) which I loved as a child.

Listen to Aqua Marina
Another favourite - Hong Kong Phooey!!

Books:

For fiction love Sydney Sheldon (a master storyteller), Marian Keyes and Susan Sallis. Also fascinated by things that go bump in the night so get absorbed in books about the supernatural and the unexplained. Also things on psychology and how the mind works.

Heroes:

My parents aka gardeners, electricians, plumbers, decorators and anything else I need help with. I don't know what I'd do without them.
