C.Dzen (pronounced - Season) is an intelligent, well traveled, and gracious young woman who strives to maintain a balance in today's music by presenting inspirational lyrics alongside soulful vocals and a powerful performance.
C.Dzen: I make music that everyone can enjoy and making music that is empowering, thought-provoking, and beautiful. I was a musician for many years, so the combination of live instrumentation with synthesizers and drum machines is a beautiful marriage for my music. I love this form of expression because no matter what language you speak...you can feel music and everyone can understand it.
C.Dzen graduated cum laude from Howard University on May 8, 2004 with a B.B.A. in International Business - Marketing. C.Dzen knows a great deal about leadership and was the president of the Howard University Connecticut Club during her junior year. She is also a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and the Golden Key International Honour's Society. As an avid musician/vocalist, C.Dzen was the opening act for Atlanta-based vocalist Donnie during the 2003 National Association for Equal Opportunity in Higher Education (NAFEO) Conference. During her college career, she tutored at Good Shepard Ministries Primary Plus Day Care Center and was a mentor at the Congress Heights U.S. Dream Academy. C.Dzen was a first soprano vocalist within The Howard University Gospel Choir (2000 - 2001), studied abroad in Aix-en-Provence, France during the summer 2001 and was actively involved in the Howard University 21st Century Executive Leadership Honors Program. In 2005, C.Dzen graduated from Full Sail: Real World Education with a Musical Engineering degree and continues to produce, write, and engineer her own music. A registered BMI writer, C.Dzen recently started her own independent publishing company, CDzen Entertainment.
C.Dzen: I strongly believe in education, investing in your own future, and following your passion. I've got the education, invested in my future, and am now on the path to following my dreams. My passion is to positively touch lives through music and I intend to successfully do just that!
