About Me

Kevin Fox music is Acoustic Pop, Roots Rock. and Country.Although Kevin may be best known for co-writing the 2003 AC billboard top twenty hit "Freeze" on TVT RECORDS with Jason Phelps and Chris Estes.....He has been awarded many times for his songwriting and has been recognized for many other interesting accomplishments. Winner of two 2003 Cincinnati music awards AKA "Cammy's" "Songwriter of the Year" and "Best Roots Rock band". Kevin continually reaches beyond his Cincinnati home. In 2006 Kevin signed a publishing deal with a small but successful Nashville publishing company called Bestes Music. Partnering with two time Dove Award Nominees Chris Estes and Amy Becker. So far, 4 Kevin Fox songs have landed on 2 independent artists CD's. Anthony Campbell (the winner of NBC's 2005 SUPERSTAR SEARCH CONTEST) generated his debut CD "Release me" with the two Kevin Fox songs "Don't You Want to Stay All Night" and "I Can Barely Breathe" as the singles. Contemporary Christian Artist Corey Franklin released his debut CD with two Kevin Fox songs. Title track "Closer to You" and "Overdone" Kevin is writing for other artists and enjoying some success in Nashville. He's also thriving in his home town and always searching for other ways to get his own music heard. Some highlights of his Awards and Accomplishments include. The Kevin Fox song "Doll Parts" written in Sinatra style was just chosen as the 2008 Cincinnati 48 hour film festival's "Best Original Song" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1C6vqL8moD4 The Kevin Fox Song "Hurry Back Home" won 2008's 1st prize at the international songwriting contest from www.songprize.com. "Hurry Back Home" also reached as high as number 7 on the overseas internet radio station Soldiersradio.com 5 Kevin Fox songs "You've Got to Go", "Devil in the Dark", "Gone","X out of U", and "Every Minute" appear in the 2007 Independent film "Dead Horse" which starred Daniel Vonbargen (Seinfeld, Malcolm in the Middle and Supertroopers) The Kevin Fox song "I Miss Everything" appears on the 2005 WEBN/Budweiser True Music compilation CD and is still getting spins on local radio station WEBN 102.7 The Kevin Fox Song "Smokey" (Nothing But a Good Dog) was chosen as track six on the 2005 Save Our Strays benefit compilation CD "Return of the Snugglers". The Kevin Fox Song "It's Not Over" landed track 4 on the the 2003 Midpoint Music Festival compilation CD. Produced by David Mckell (Kenny Rogers Fame) and can be found at www.tsngp.com Kevin Fox now has 4 solo/band CD's and has sold over 7000 discs out of the back of his car. "The World in my Head" 2000, "Somewhere's Waiting", 2002 "All Over the Place"2005, and "Deep Sleepers" 2007. He appears as a studio musician regularly on local artists projects as a songwriter, guitarist, bass player or vocalist, and is known for writing some of the catchiest jingles in the Cincinnati radio market. His next CD tentatively titled "Songs You Know You've Never Heard" will be finished by years end. From the makers of the movie "Dead Horse" is another movie coming this/early next year called "The Finger" Kevin has written a song called "the Finger song" for the film which will be used in the course of the movie and in the closing credits Kevin Fox loves to travel! In 2005 through 2008 he covered most of the east side of the country playing over 200 shows a year and venturing from Jacksonville, Florida, to Madison, Wisconsin, to New York, NY. What set's his music apart from most is the combination of catchy lyrics, interesting changes, and the ability to jam when it's necessary. Influences vary all the way from James Taylor to Van Halen to Dave Mathews to Nirvana to Toby Keith and back again. Although he writes in many styles for many artists, his own music has been compared to bands like Bare Naked Ladies, John Mayer, Tom Petty, Sublime, and Santana (when he goes latin). It's usually the catchy Refrains combined with insightful verses and a sense of humor that earn him his fans. He's recently opened shows for Tracy Byrd at the Cincinnati Convention Center, Sister Hazel at the Sawyer Point P&G pavillion, and Anthony Campbell. With his 5th CD "Songs You Know You've Never Heard" almost in the can. He hopes to break out in 2009 as an artist and a songwriter.ORDER KEVIN FOX MUSIC ONLINE AT WWW.CDBABY.COM/THEKEVINFOXBAND ____________________________________________________________ ______
