Of course, expanding my mind, true vision, filmmaking, the unexpected, the paranormal, daring the psyche, exploring and pushing my persona as far as it can go. I had drive, power, brains, and I liked manipulation. I was part clown, poet, self-proclaimed and an erotic policitian. I've been remembered by my self destructive style. It jolts the perception and paints a new image of me. I courted danger in order to reveal a region of images and feelings inside all of you that rarely are given an outlet.....the dark side.
Frederich Nietzsche, Joseph Campbell, William Blake, Jack Palance, Elvis Presley,Frank Sinatra, Sarah Miles, Great Filmakers of the 20th century, Ancient Greek Gods, The Shaman of the Wilderness and anyone who possesses the kind of irrationality at times which is beyond dreams or madness and can appreciate my songs and see that they do not tell logical stories but tell dark and intelligent truths. I want to befriend those who are attracted to me with the same ambivalence that drives me to feast on calamity. I am interested in people who do not have a petty conception of immortality.
I dug the music I created with The Doors. I wrote all these songs and just heard a concert in my head. I think our first album was comprised of most of those songs. I also dug the Beach Boys, The Kinks, Love and Elvis Presley.I like the sounds of your new music today too. I plan on playing it here and seeing how the blues has evolved and music in general. I always figured the use of machinery and less people would have something to do with the way music has evolved to now. It appears that I was right. So I'll change the songs here often.THE DOORS:
I liked movies that Jack Palance was in and Sarah Miles. I liked to watch any creative movie in progress.....
I watched the News on television and that was pretty much it.
These and most of all my own poetry. I used to carry my notebooks around with me all of the time.
Aldous Huxley, William Blake, Fredrich Nietzsche, Apollo, Dionysus, Arthur Rimbaud, Gerard Malanga
