About Me

AIM = Eat a MushroomI'm a libertarian and I support a government that oversees utilities, schools, etc. and the relatively free market but has little say over individuals' rights (involving only laws focusing on violence and property) and also subtract the fucking defense budget and turn that into education funding. The only way anarchy could work is if private organizations oversee the utilities and the market but they would need to be run by competent, honest people which is unlikely to ever happen. Also if people would use some fucking common sense and follow some basic general rules, which is also unlikely. It's a sort of Progressive-Movement-type look at anarchy, but it's an honest way for it to work. Anarchy has a lot of bullshit surrounding it; I don't like to be thought of as the stereotypical nihilistic anarchist. I don't like punks because they generally are the ones who define that stereotype and they're the reason it exists, and most of their music sounds the same to me. Punk is just another name for nihilism in a subculture. Sublime and Chili Peppers are overplayed and hearing them annoys me. Chili peppers weren't bad in the 80s but now I'm tired of them. I'm a psychonaut and an entheologist. I'm hopelessly addicted to drum & bass and reggae music, and a combination of the two is like an orgasm to the ears. Raves are a contemporary version of an ancient tradition and you shouldn't listen to anybody who tells you that raves are bad news. I'm not a hippie, I'm just a nerd who happens to smoke herb. I don't like consumerism or commercialism, and one of our nation's biggest problems is the commercialization of religion and spirituality. Spirituality is a better term because it implies open-mindedness and leaving questions answered with theories rather than hard "facts". Moderation is the key to most things in life. Drugs should be legal for obvious reasons. It's better to sacrifice order in the name of justice than to sacrifice justice in the name of order. I worship the creation, not the creator, because they are the same. No, I take it back, I don't worship, but I believe. And I think of God as more of a mother than a father, if not an it. I also think that there are some compelling similarities between America and the nation of Babylon described in the bible. I am also tempted to agree with the Temple of the True Inner Light in that they believe that entheogens and psychedelic chemicals are physical manifestations of God. If not that, they are certainly a legitimate means of finding God. The creation of LSD was serendipity at her best. "We don't see things as they are; we see things as we are." -Anonymous"The only true crime is getting caught." -Hunter S. Thompson"There's no censorship in heaven." -Thea Vidale"When you smoke herb it reveals you to yourself." -Bob Marley"Until the colour of a man's skin is of no more importance than the colour of a man's eyes, there is war." -Bob Marley"If the only prayer you say in your life is; thank you, that would suffice." -Meister Eckhart"The function of man is to live, not to exist. I shall not waste my days trying to prolong them." -Jack London"I heartily accept the motto, 'That government is best which governs least'; and I should like to see it acted up to more rapidly and systematically. Carried out, it finally amounts to this, which also I believe--'That government is best which governs not at all'; and when men are prepared for it, that will be the kind of government which they will have." -Henry David Thoreau, Civil Disobedience"Fate, it would seem, is not without a sense of irony." -The Matrix"Censorship reflects a society's lack of confidence in itself. It is a hallmark of an authoritarian regime." -Potter Stewart, an American judge and associate justice of the Supreme Court."That I am at one with the great being that made me and brought me here and formed the galaxies and universes et cetera. How did that get taken out of religion? It was not hard. Most of the problems that religion and various philosophical movements down through the centuries have produced have been errors, because that's where they're started. That there is a distinct separate being from us, to whom I must offer worship, whom I must cultivate, humor, please, and hope to obtain a reward from at the very end of my life. That is not what God is. That is a blasphemy." - Micael Ledwith
