About Me
It was back in 2002 that Joe 'cocktail' Hodgson and Adam 'youre in the army now' Champ got together and started writing what would start this juggernaut o death. After poaching drummer and Teen hunk sensation, Sam Hodgson from a dire local metal band, the original line up was formed. Known to the band as the BJ years! A few shows down the line; the obvious need for a second guitar was realized. In stepped local dirt merchant Jonty Shaw. A baptism of fire was cast upon the new line up, with their first show supporting the mighty T.S.O.L.
With the line up firmly established a demo, and numerous shows around the U.K, the boys embarked on their first d.i.y tour of the U.K, with American band Same Day Service. In a deborturous two weeks, the band firmly stamped their name on the U.K punk scene. The next step was inevitable, a U.S tour. In March 2005 Shotgun embarked on a two week, d.i.y tour in the U.S.A. Which saw them play in Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas, playing such bars as the legendary Emos in Austin TX.
May 2005 saw shotgun head back into the studio, to record a 4 track E.P. The more mature sound keeps its aggressive nature, but clearly shows how the band have progressed and defined their sound.
2006 saw the Band bring on a new Bassist in the form of local boy, Mark Ofzorro, giving Champ the chance to put all of his focus on singing.
2007 sees Shotgun at their strongest, with solid live shows and lenghty writting sessions. "Blood vs Alcohol" is Shotgun's latest offering. Four tracks of thier fastest, hardest and most intelligent material to date.
