FROM
BEHIND play blues based, hard rockin´, beer-drenched rock´n´roll
for the great masses, hungry for twin- guitar based songs,
sung by one of Britain's leading rock vocalists; Nicky Moore.
Nicky's CV is as long and impressing as British rock itself.
The former SAMSON front man, by some referred to as "the fat guy
who replaced Bruce Dickinson", was in fact to large extent responsible
for making Samson the British metal legend it still is today,
putting the band to their highest chart positions during their career!
After Samson disbanded he became part of Mammoth, literally the heaviest
of all heavy metal bands, alongside John McCoy of Gillan fame.
With a voice dripping with soul and emotion, his reputation as a great performer
is up there with the likes of Paul Rodgers, Frankie Miller and Van Morrison.
Currently touring with his own blues band, he's today as active as ever.
Manuel "Manny" Charlton, a living legend, who from the start untill 1989
was the guitarplayer, songwriter, producer, you name it,
in one of the seventies biggest and loudest rock bands, Scottish NAZARETH.
The band gave the world hits as Love Hurts, Razamanaz, Hair Of The Dog,
This Flight Tonight etc etc etc
and is still considerd as one of the giants of the era.
The spanishborn scotsman, now residing in Dallas, Texas,
will once again stun audiences with his amazing guitarplaying,
songwriting skills, soul dripping slide solos and heavy riffing.
Expect no Mercy.
Andreas Grufstedt, Mikael Fässberg, Fredrik Borg
and Carl-Michael "Hilton" Hildesjö have kept a high profile
on the south Swedish music scene,
playing with Jet Black Combo, Burning Engines and Confactor
to name a few.
Mikael and Andreas current occupation sees them backing
former Iron Maiden vocalist Paul DiAnno while on his 2005-2006
tour.
Why the odd name? Not even their manager knows for sure...
Something to do with logistics maybe... Why should you care... ?
Because the songs are firmly rooted in a time when
Rock was about reaching out to an audience, instead of your own bellybutton.
"A time when the Les Paul was king, and Singers we're allowed to sing..."
It's Good, Clean, and Mean Entertainment performed with Emotion and Pride.
FIRST REVIEWS:
This new bands debut has some impressive pedigree. Vocalist Nicky Moore has played with Samson, Mammoth and Uli Jon Roth, and has an amazing voice, even on this, the most metallic project hes been involved with.Guitarist Manny Charlton was a founder member of Nazareth and has influenced Axl Rose, Dimbag Darrell and a host of others. The guitars are hard and gravely, while Moores vocals are solid, bluesy, soulful, and spot on heavy metal. An unlikely yet brilliant combination.Catwalk is catchy, sleazy, the twin guitar working well, the rest of the band backing up beautifully.Despite Moores bluesy background, he can growl and scream like a beast and matches Charltons guitar perfectly. The rhythm on What Youre Doing drives well, and the acoustic Picture fits in well too. Charltons industrial guitar makes the metal songs as heavy as a Mammoth without overdoing or overplaying anything. Perfect.

Wow this one plunks us right back into the late 60s very early 70s when a whole new breed of slightly dirty, beer soaked British bar bands fuelled by the success of bands like the Jeff Beck Group, Free and The Small Faces launched their own bids for stardom. The next wave included bands like Humble Pie and Nazareth. These bands had much in common, gritty vocals, up front guitar boogie and lyrics and swagger you hoped your mom would never catch on to. Manny Charlton (x Nazareth) and Nicky Moore(x Samson/Mammoth) provide the pedigree and chops to recreate an era. Both took time out from their current musical lives to participate in this fire cracker project. Manny has resided for many years in the Dallas area and has been heavily involved in production, including several solo projects, since his Naz days ended. Nicky has never stopped working in music and is currently touring his own blues band. Aided and abetted by some classic rocking Swedes including Andreas Grufstedt and Mikael Fassberg (who recently worked backing Paul Diannos latest tour) Mannys guitar and production and Nickys gut wrenching vocals percolate through this awesome brew. The boys are in fact a band though, with plans to tour the summer festival season. A triple guitar bill not to be missed!Mannys production has recreated the sound of an era, bar boogie stompers like Queen Bitch Catwalk and Play Dirty. Early era heavy rock rousers like Family white boy bluesy numbers like Boneman and a couple of rock ballads Picture and Gone. The whole damn thing harkens back to an era when music was fun I, for one, miss a lot about those days. And if you do as well, this album will sate that particular musical appetite for sure. A great first band effort indeed, hope there is more to come! (Sea of tranquility.com)
