Pierre Warren, Young Peedee, started off asking for support in his rap endeavors at age 12. In his late teens he became more serious and dedicated to his craft and now at 19 he feels he is ready to show the world his talent. Growing up with his mother and two older brothers, Young Peedee feels like his brothers raised and schooled him on the world, the streets and the music game. Young Peedee grew up in eastern New Orleans, Louisiana, which had a big influence on his lyrics and is a large part of his background.Young Peedee feels his rap style has a more commercial appeal than most independent rappers today. He tries to get a feel for a beat before he commits to writing for it or using it, in hopes to make a great song and maybe even a hit. Young Peedee uses his own adlibs and his own perspective on life and really tries to put his emotions and his all into every track. His goal when writing is to say something that a wide audience can relate to. Young Peedee loves to write a chorus or hook that makes people want to sing along. He also favors southern beats when he rhymes, because he enjoys heavy bass, with active snare and high hats. From the East, the name of Young Peedee’s first album, is a very personal and strong effort. Young Peedee hopes that this debut album, From the East, will make an imprint on the rap industry and show people that real southern rap is not dead, and neither is New Orleans homegrown talent.
