Adastra UK is a hard rock band formed in Edinburgh, Scotland in 2005 whilst all members were studying at Napier University.
The band was formed by guitarist Mark who wanted to create a full-on metal band combining the melodic elements of European metal with the riffage of traditional rock and metal. The band are heavily influenced by European metal, traditional rock and blues.
The original lineup consisted of Mark Robert Grant on guitar, Steve Platt on drums, Dallas Patterson on bass, and Rich Beeby on vocals.
Rich Beeby left due to other commitments in 2005, and the band set about looking for a new vocalist. They found their new vocalist, Bryce Sutherland. Bassist Dallas Patterson left in 2006 and was soon replaced with Andy Armour.
