I listen to everything. My tastes are all over the place. I like alternative, I like opera too, and pop, and rock, and hip hop, and alternative, and 80s, and R'n'B, and mellow "weirdness"... etc. As long as it appeals to me in some way shape or form and hasn't annoyed me yet by being played on the radio countless times for several consecutive days, I'll listen to it.
Movies that mess with your head are my favorites. Great story telling movies come in as a close second. ie: The Life of David Gale, Se7en, The Usual Suspects, (Can we tell I'm a huge Kevin Spacey fan yet?) American Beauty, Memento, Fight Club, Office Space, Boiler Room, The Gift, Interview With The Vampire, Magnolia, Halloween, Devil's Advocate, Finding Neverland, Sleepy Hollow, Blow, Pirates of the Caribbean, Donnie Brasco (I apparently also love Johnny Depp's work). I'm a huge fan of the movies Waiting, 40 Year old Vigin, Beerfest and Dodgeball too. I have a pretty big movie collection that spans almost every genre. So I'll watch almost anything, although there are A LOT of classic staples in the film industry that I have yet to watch. I'm currently working on the Godfather series.
Heroes, CSI: Vegas, Arrested Development, The Shield, OZ, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Entourage, Harvey Birdman Attorney at Law, Family Guy, Dead Like Me, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Extreme Makeover, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, 24, Desperate Housewives, Iron Chef and Iron Chef America, Family Business, The Amazing Race, America's Next Top Model, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Sex and the City... the list goes on.
For the most part, I read a lot of auto-biographies by people I'm intrigued by. I believe Marilyn Manson's book is next on my list.
