I'm a duppy conqueror..............

About Me

I've been playing in public for a couple of years round England and people keep asking me back. Recently I went to Germany and did a mini tour. In Marburg this appeared in the press:
Joe Woolley was first to mount the stage which was sparsely set with a table and a barstool. This lanky youngster from the little village of Long Buckby near Northampton, worked nervously, and smoked his cigarette with trembling hands. He told us about his stressy journey from Berlin where he had performed the previous day, and how pleased he was to return to Marburg.
It seemed as if he wanted to talk the tension out of his soul, and you would hardly have thought this hectic bundle of nerves could produce the fine performance with which he enthused his audience.
Woolley talked himself into a hole, spilled beer, feigned coolness, and yet after a few numbers it was clear; the man has got the blues and he is a talented guitarist. For a whole hour he alternated original compositions and cover-versions, which demanded everything of both singer and guitar, and which condemned the feet of the audience to tapping along.
I had a great time, thanks to everyone involved
I am curently working with a tabla player, we'll record soon.
