Less Talk....More Hustle

About Me

Online Status IconsAccording to Webster’s dictionary the word ’preach’ is derived from the latin term praedicare and means to give moral instruction or to prolaim. To set forth in sermon, to evangelise and impel in an indicated direction. To speak, plead or argue in favor of..... as well as stand proudly in opposition too. Over the years the word ’preach’ has described the actions of many theologians as well as the words of many scholars. It describes an action, and the emotion to such an action, whereby the exhange of contemplations and knowledge so in tune with the listners attention that there can be nothing said except an emphatic ’preach!’, if for no other reason than just plain recognition of the heart felt emotion that has been conveyed. Hence the reason Little Rock(Arkansas) born, Texas(Austin) raised emcee K. Butler has chosen the name "PREACH" as his definative stage moniker. In a hip hop world dominated by over indulgence and the glorification of ’the struggle’ with limited means of escape PREACH is more than a welcome change. In a world where alot of artist fear creativity PREACH is a visionary prepared to break industry stereotypes and elevate the versatility of rap to a new level. Defying talk that southern rap lacks musicality, with plaiin lyrical skill. It is plain to see that PREACH’s artistic inflences included much more than hip hop, he absorbed assets from across the artistic spectrum- from jazz, classical, blues, gospel and other cross cultural mediums. In an era where it is evident that some entertainers are focused on the acclaim and glamor, it is refreshing to find a emcee who loves hip hop because it is just an open forum to be recieved on the basis of ones most heartfelt interpretions of life
