The current popularity of rap and reggeaton music in mainstream pop culture has finally infiltrated the lives of the Christian youth. No longer subdued by the old ideologies that God only wants his people to worship Him through old school worship music, Frontline InC (Frontline in Christ) makes music that reflects the struggles of the mind and the conscience a Christian undergoes daily. Mandated by God to entice all those rap and reggeaton music lovers that also want to live in Christ, Frontline InC reveals their desire to stand in the front line ready to defend the kingdom of God with the power of the Holy Spirit.
The name, Frontline InC, refers to the Word of God as stated in Ezekiel 22:30 - And I sought for a man among them that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none. It is through these words that the members of Frontline InC found themselves obliged to make their music. This group creates music as a tool for carrying out Gods desires; a tool that was not present before. This group understands that the Lord has given them the courage and talent to motivate this generation to fight the enemy from entering churches, destroying families or wreaking the lives of God's people.
Frontline InC is comprised of Akey, Bendito, DP and Messenger. They are dedicated to spreading the message of God through their energetic and contemporary beats that they match with their profound lyrics. Frontline InCs music is more than just rap and reggeaton music, its a way the youth can share in the reflection of the compassion of Christ for the souls.
The conception of Frontline InC began in September of 2003 with:
E-NICE
It was in E-Nices basement where they would normally get together to praise God, joke around and free style. What started out as friends simply fooling around evolved into a united musical assembly of Heavenly Vision Christian Centers popular youth ministry leaders. Heavenly Vision Christian Center, headed by Pastors Sal Sabino and Kenia Sabino, is a ministry where its youth experience how living in Christ is more rewarding than living in the world. However, it was obvious to this ministry that the lives of young Christians were missing the upbeat street music the youth listened to on an everyday basis. The void for this Christian music became a task these four individuals saw they needed to fulfill. With beats produced by Akeys younger brother Lentro, their first rap song, Ladder of Success, which explains to the youth the vision of the church in a way they finally understood it, was performed for the first time during a youth service in the Bronx. It was then that each member understood that this was their calling. The youth received the song with full understanding of the vision and more energetic to praise. From then on Frontline InC was motivated by their own convictions to obey God as well as by the motivation they received from their brothers and sisters in the church. Frontline InC then put out the word that any church leader was welcomed to join them. Their offer was purposefully met by:
Bendito, a church leader that had previously been a member of another rap/reggeatton group then became the fifth member of Frontline InC.
With its fifth member, the group completed two more songs, Christians Get with the Vision and Face to Face, and performed them in all major events as requested by their pastors. Inspired by the Holy Spirit they put out a demo in order to prepare the world for their first album, Holy Wars, produced by Powerhouse Records. Shortly after the demo E-Nice moved to Florida sadly renouncing her part in Frontline InC, but she is still featured in two tracks on the, Holy Wars album.
Holy Wars is an album that is destined to reach the multitudes and will succeed in Frontline InCs main goal of aiding this generation in worshiping the Lord. Certain that today's adolescence will enthusiastically receive their music with great enjoyment, Frontline InC is confident that their faith in God, their determination to serve and their God-given talents are present in their music.
